Prices are getting ridiculous I ordered an Italian beef with cheese fries and a drink and it came out to $20. For that price, I could’ve sat down somewhere and had a full dinner.
The quality just isn’t the same anymore. Ever since Dick Portillo sold the company, the food and overall vibe have definitely gone downhill. The atmosphere used to feel fun and classic… now it just feels off. Hate that they have kiosks taking the order. No interaction with people anymore.

Portillo’s is one of those places that truly lives up to its reputation. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and served quickly even when the place is busy. Their famous Chicago-style hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches are absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly, organized, and the whole atmosphere feels lively and welcoming. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you want to enjoy authentic Chicago comfort food. 🌭✨
