This is hands down the best place in Bloomington. The service is top notch! The bartenders Matt, Max, Zack, and Ali make the best drinks and provide the best service and conversation you could ask for. If it wasn’t for Vince this place may fall apart. We visit at least once, if not twice a week, because of the consistency with the service and the people that work here! They make it a 10/10 - definitely recommend if you are looking for a great place staffed with fantastic people!

I'm really sad to write a negative review of this place because I've been very satisfied with the food for many years. I usually get the Farm to Face roll. Every time I've ordered it, it's a very large portion (you can barely fit one piece in your mouth and it takes up the entire plate), accompanied by ample ginger slices, wasabi, and sauces. When I ordered it last Tuesday, the roll was small, the pieces were very tiny with barely any wasabi and ginger slices. On top of that, it was burned? (I think they fry it slightly before serving). The service and atmosphere were great, however. Again, I've always loved coming here because the food is usually excellent. Maybe they just missed the mark this evening?

Cool spot in downtown Bloomington where there are few options overall. Pizza and sushi is an odd mix, but it works. Maybe a little pricey for the area, but if you’re sharing it comes out okay.

Had a lovely dining experience here, mainly thanks to our server, Maura! Got the pork buns to start and I tried the pickle lemonade which I highly recommend. The fish bowl was excellent portion and price wise, and the lamb shank my friend got was perfect as well!

Always great service here! I visit often and try to get something a little different each time and it’s all good but Gucci Cali is my favorite thing on the menu! They do great carry out as well.

We were a group of about a dozen and visited during a weekday evening for dinner. Food choices were vast with numerous veggie options, as well as plenty of options for pescatarians and non vegetarians. I ordered the pan seared salmon which was presented well and tasted very good. I also tried the Green Machine sushi roll which included about a dozen pieces. The Green Machine included avocado, Cucumber, rice, marinated tofu, etc. It was better than I thought it would be and I would order it again. The crab meat sushi was also very good but I liked the Green Machine sushi better. All of this was washed down with a Dog Days (Analytical Shandy) on draft. Overall, the experience dining in at Anju Above was very good. I like the restaurant concept of Farm to Table. I would definitely recommend.
