Very disappointed in food and the lack of service. Had to order at the counter get your own drinks and my food was cold not once but twice! All I got was attitude from the lady that was bringing the cold food out !! Very disappointed won’t be back !!

Not what it use to be..this one you order at counter and then get seated. Dont like that concept. It was kind of a cluster going and trying to order with 100 people around the counter. The food was decent not like it used to be clean place.

Had to get our own drinks, ordered at the counter, saw no wait staff and didn't get the bread.
Over all, super dissatisfied

Kid-friendliness: There was no kids menu and no kids drinks. Spent way too much for food my 4 year old isn't going to eat.

Best bread on the planet, which is the secret ingredient in the amazing Gondola sandwich they are famous for.

We have always had great experiences at the Peoria Avanti's locations. But we were really disappointed eating at the Bloomington location. The red sauce had a strange taste to it, almost like plastic. The meatballs we really overcooked. The water tasted like mold. I am not one to put a restaurant down because I know most try really hard to do a good job and provide quality food. I'm sharing my experience in hopes the management will try to make some improvements to this location's food quality.

This was laughable food. I bet the dorm Italian food is better for those ISU students. The pizza was ok but the pasta, bread and sandwiches were just horrible. It was all lukewarm. The pasta “meat sauce” is a joke. The employees were nice. But I will never step foot in an Avanti’s again.

Wow, all the hype and this place is a joke. Food was below sub par, 0 service, pretty much a cafeteria. I like pretty much any good sandwich from anywhere from the local beef and dog joint to the food truck that randomly shows up. This has got to be the most grossest looking sandwich I have ever had.
BEWARE, this is NOT an Italian restaurant, it's a food court with pretty cheap and low quality food. I guess the college has turned this place from its roots, probably should just change the entire thing to what it really is, a sandwich joint posing as an actual sit down restaurant. Kudos to the owner on bleeding every dime he can get, living off a legacy that's no longer there in any form.

Wheelchair accessibility: We found it to be very accessible. We were there for a birthday party, so it didn't cost us anything. The food was good and we always love the bread!

Not once the dine in place it was, the food is still delicious! Had lasagna. Used to have table service, now like Culver's: Walk in, order, pay, take number to table and food is dropped off to you.

Wheelchair accessibility: Near door

They are priced for full service plus additional charges that used to be included. You now pay $1 for the side salad that used to come with the pasta meals. They don't bring out bread before the meal like they used to and yet prices for the pasta has gone up. You also don't get unlimited bread but instead have to pay for more. You get your own drinks with the carryout cups. I will no longer eat in Bloomington Normal when Peoria actually provides you full-service at a CHEAPER price. Seriously Avanti's if I had known you were doing this now I would not have ever come in.

Horrible turkey sandwich. There was like a tablespoon of lettuce and 3 half dollar size hard tomatoes with green cores. The turkey was dry and had a bad after taste it. I ate 2 bites and left it that is how bad it was. It's sad how bad the food is now compared to the 80's and 90's when we used to go twice a week to the north main street location.
