I came in for the first time and got a Blackberry Biancha. I actually changed from a caramel mocha and they were soo chill about it! So nice! They told me about the app and helped set it up and give me points.

Found this coffee roaster during my recent visit to Bloomington.

The atmosphere and the space is fantastic. Good and big space with some nice decor. The restroom was also well maintained, clean and big (quite rare nowadays).

Ordered an espresso and a summer drink.
Espresso: I believe it's a medium roast with notes of milk, honey, and chocolate. Bright acidity in a good way. Don't let it sit and get cold. Maybe Ethiopian guji coffee.

Summer drink (blackberry Bianca): Good flavor of blackberry infused with coffee. Excellent balance of sweetness. I would recommend lighter milk (2%) as it would not fill you up too much at the end of the drink.

The staff is friendly and accommodating. We had ordered a hot and they gave a cold one, but replaced it with the hot one once I clarified the order.

Compared to other specialty coffee shops, I think it's priced a bit towards the higher side. Could benefit from price adjustment. Can potentially pull more people.

I’ve been going to coffee hound for almost a decade now and it has unfortunately been going down hill for a while, this location in particular. How does a coffee shop consistently run out of cinnamon and cocoa powder? The inventory needs to be better managed at this store.

Stop being cheap and bring back the Mexican mocha drink for your customers.

Me and my wife had some reservations about this place for years, we finally gave it another chance, and oh let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Will be coming back for years to come.

Great, friendly baristas. Excellent expresso. This is worth the stop for the coffee snob! The House Cortado (honey, cinnamon, and cocoa) is a delightful twist on the classic, which is also delicious.

Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to get in.

We were visiting from U-C, and I can say this cafe has one of the best iced caramel and vanilla lattes I have ever had.

We got iced caramel latte and Cafe Cortado.
The caramel latte is better than any I could find in U-C and I might say one of the best I have ever had.
Also, the Cafe Cortado my husband said this could be the second best after Blue Bottle’s in Chicago.

After trying those we were impressed and wanted to try their vanilla latte since we are here.
we got back after 10 minutes to try their iced vanilla latte! And it was Great! Highly Recommended.

Where do I begin? I worked at Coffee Hound for a little bit a few years back. April is the kindest soul and Steve was incredibly passionate about coffee. The level of passion, love, and education that goes into this small business is unmeasurable. The roasters work really hard on crafting cups of coffee that never miss and all of the staff do cuppings to better understand the coffee that they serve you. If you’re in the area, please stop by and grab a cup of coffee :) Also shout out to Colin for being such a kind barista and making me the best iced latte I have ever had (coming from someone who spends lots and lots of money on ice lattes…)

If you visit the downtown Bloomington, you have to go to COFFEE HOUND!!!!! The taste of coffee is absolutely perfect. You know, that most decaffeinated coffee is just bitter. But here, you can get savory and flavorful decaffeinated coffee. Also cold brew is great. BUT, the best thing is CRONUT!!!!! It's so delicious that I can't express it in words. The atmosphere of the cafe is also good.?

I stopped here on my way home from visiting my dad. The vibes were immaculate and service was great! The staff was very friendly and did a great job answering questions. The espresso is incredible! Another reviewer mentioned it having a little bit of a brighter taste which I would agree with, but I find think that’s a bad thing! My dad ordered the honey bee latte with honey and lavender which was to die for! My only complaint is that I don’t live close enough to come back and try everything else! If you’re passing through central Illinois, don’t pass by this coffee shop without stopping in to try!

We stopped in for drinks while passing through town, and we are glad we did. The matcha, latte, and smoothie were all fantastic. A beautiful shop and great atmosphere. Nice staff as well.
