Absolutely incredible restaurant. Amazing selection, delicious dishes, and the staff is fantastic. So kind and caring and they honestly care if you have a good time or not. They go above and beyond. Birthdays, anniversaries, all have been wonderful here. More than 5 stars!

First time to this restaurant. We chose inside seating and it was so dark inside. It was hard to see your food. When we were given the menu, I was surprised to see that it was not the menu they had posted on their website. Our waiter explained that they have not gotten around to updating the menu. The menu item that I had planned on having was not on the menu but the waiter was very courteous and offered to sub items to make what was listed on their website. I ordered the scallops and when they were brought out they were room temperature at best. And we're not properly cleaned as I was crunching on sand as I chewed. The asparagus was so tiny that the waiter had to tell me that they were hiding under the scallops. For a menu item priced over $30 I was shocked and disappointed in the quality and quantity. My husband ordered the chicken and it was mediocre at best. He also ordered the kettle chips and they were literally just lays kettle cooked chips in a small bowl that cost $3. I had heard such good things about this restaurant but was not impressed.

Loved this place, we arrived at opening, following the farmers market haul. Very friendly staff, great array of cocktails and food.

We have eaten at Mystic Kitchen since it first opened six years ago. On our last visit, we started with the soft pretzels and a bottle of Opolo Red Blend. For entrees, my wife had the Seared Sea Scallops and I had the Blackened Shrimp Caesar Salad. Both were prepared perfectly, as usual. We have had so many great meals at Mystic! We have had consistently great service, so I hate to single out one person, but Nathan is excellent -- personable and attentive. I have to mention that I'm somewhat of a stickler for cleanliness, and Mystic Kitchen seems cleaner than any other good restaurant in this community. We love eating outside at Mystic, right across from the old courthouse. It can be a little noisy for me inside at times, but the staff and owners are very accomodating offering a table in a quieter area. This is our favorite restaurant in Bloomington Normal.

We have enjoyed the Mystic Kitchen experience several times over the past few years, but nothing compares to the experience they gave my family and I this past weekend. Family that I do not see often, from a thousand miles away. I needed a really good experience. They delivered Exceptional instead. That's all you need to know. Food, service, atmosphere, all first class. The thing is, I felt like I was at a dear friend's dinner party rather than at a restaurant. Hospitality redefined. Thank you to the staff and crew of this fine establishment. And so my love affair with the Mystic continues... I can't wait to see you again.

Have been wanting to come here for several months on a friend's recommendation. The food was excellent and the space itself has a good vibe. Downtown area fairly easy to find parking but there was some construction nearby which made it more difficult.
It was a Wednesday night and there was a party in the back room by the way which is cute as heck. But that might have brought the noise level up a little bit. Unfortunately our server was distracted by the party and slow but we weren't in a hurry so it was okay.

We had dinner there recently with friends. The food was good and the atmosphere was good. Drinks are a bit pricey.

My friend told me about this place and how good the cocktails were. Of course I’m nosey and had to try it for myself. I was in town for an event and took my family with me and we all loved it! They have outdoor seating, the service was really good (Parker was so funny!) and the cocktails were indeed amazing. I got the pistachio martini 🍸

I love this place. The atmosphere is intimate, perfectly lit and welcoming from the time you step in the door until the time you leave. I know that I’m going to get a good meal regardless and I always try something different and it always hits. Drinks are top notch and so are the owners and staff. Bloomington is lucky to have this place!

When I looked at their menu online, I thought it might be a little too bougie for my girl group, but happily, I was wrong. We were greeted warmly by the owner and seated in the beautifully decorated dining room. They've restored many of the beautiful features of the old building they occupy.
The menu offers a variety of things to choose from. My group of 3 ordered the large charcuterie tray and pretzel bites with spicy mustard and beer cheese. Both were fresh and delicious. The peach jam on the tray was a sweet bite after the tasty meats and cheeses. I also enjoyed the creamed asparagus soup, topped with a sour cream swirl. My taste buds were delighted! They have a large menu of cocktails, craft beers, and wines, but we didn't partake on this visit.
The atmosphere is light and trendy with a casual feel. We came because we had won a gift certificate at an auction and thought we would try something new. I'm so glad we did. My friends and I enjoyed our visit there and are already talking about going back.

This is like eating at a friend's house, and the house is really nice! My scallops were perfectly cooked, service was on point and overall had a great experience
