I decided to give this Mexican place a try and I did not have a good experience here. I came to order a burrito bowl for takeouts and the wait was incredibly long. Not to mention the fact that the restaurant is dirty. I sat at the waiting area and I could clearly see the kitchen staffs taking breaks to go on their phones when there were tickets printing out nonstop. I was going to ask for a refund given how long it took but my food arrived the moment I was about to so I wanted to see if it was worth the wait. It was not. The bowl made me feel sick after I ate it. There was nothing that stood out or was special in the bowl. I will not be returning.

Stopped at Tony’s Tacos on a Friday to meet a friend for lunch, and we couldn’t have picked a better spot. We snagged a cozy back corner that felt private and relaxed. Ended up staying until nearly 4p, and the staff was kind and unbothered by our extended stay.
The vegan nachos were piled high and full of flavor without feeling heavy. The (bite of) corn quesadilla was crispy on the outside and deliciously balanced. It’s always refreshing to see vegan options at a place known for tacos, I just wish they had vegan meat options.

Listen, been eating at Tony’s for years but the is a certain cook who keeps putting sour cream, lettuce, pico inside the quesadilla instead of on the side. It doesn’t taste good. It’s not what we order. Management please have a talk with your cooks! Respecto!

There are two restaurants in Bloomington where I can get the authentic feel and taste of Mexican cuisine. Tony's tacos is clean, organized, delicious and the staff is very nice. You can get a large chimichanga for a decent price or individual tacos. If you're looking for a taste of Mexico, Tony's tacos is a place I would suggest! Thank you Tony's TACOS

Restaurantji Recommends
I recently picked up some tacos from the Bloomington location and became ill almost immediately after. For the past week, I've been coughing incessantly and dealing with a lot of mucus, feeling like I have the flu. I suspect the open sauce bar or possibly contaminated food might be to blame. I definitely won't be ordering from this place again.

Our tacos and torta was really good along with the rice and beans. But the horochta was super grainy like it was strained properly. Thank goodness I had my own cheesecloth to strain it. I had also order the strawberry one but was given the original horochta. Food is still good, just a different experience than the last time I was there.

My go to for authentic Mexican cuisine. Tastes great every single time. LOVE the sauce bar so I can load up on as many as I want... especially the avocado sauce. Highly recommend! I have not tried the other locations.
