Oof, I wanted to like this place but it was honestly the worst vanilla latte I think I've ever had. It just tasted like warmed milk.

Been wanting to try out Viking Brews for a while but it’s so far from our house in Normal. Today we decided to venture out and I’m so glad we did! Amazing service, cozy atmosphere, and delicious coffee and breakfast sandwiches. We will be back!

I loved the coffee and atmosphere so much that I decided to work here and it was the best decision! The owners, management and employees all really love what we do and it shows. Side note, with some trial and error, we found the best soft serve ice cream and I highly recommend it!

Viking Brew has the best service! The breakfast paninis are delicious and it’s a cute atmosphere too!

I do NOT recommend ice cream from here. Also, there is no way to give the store rating. It automatically gives itself 100% rating, which, in my opinion, is wrong. I stopped in to get ice cream for my husband and myself I purchased two different flavors and to say we were both disappointed is an understatement First, the young lady that waited on me was VERY sweet and the place is clean so 2 great things off of the bat. I got the ice cream to go, we live in LeRoy so not a far drive, it was not a hot day so the ice cream was perfectly in tact when I got home. I got the peanut butter chocolate and could tell it had been sitting for a while in the container because it had that sticky, staleness to it. I got my husband something laced with caramel and he said it tasted good. Our biggest issue was the amount, or lack thereof, that we received for the price. The scoop wad less than what you would serve a child and it was supposed to be 2 scoops! VERY pricey for a small quantity and not great quality.

Amazing coffee and breakfast sandwiches! Will be back! Staff was very helpful and kind. Definitely a rarity now a days.

Who knew vikings could brew up some delicious coffee.

On a day trip to Bloomington, Emily and I picked a random coffeehouse off my list of ones I have yet to try and we landed on Viking Brews. We both didn’t look it up beforehand so we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. As we pulled up, I was surprised to see that there was an attached Viking Liquors and there was a gaming parlor inside as well as a spot for ice cream.

I was starving for both food and coffee, as was Emily. But we had birthday lunch plans so I grabbed my usual Americano and decided to get a bagel to hold me over until we got to the restaurant. Emily grabbed a latte concoction that she made up based on the menu offerings. We took a seat at one of the couple tables available and waited a few minutes for our drinks and my bagel.

I kid you not…….. this was the best bagel I’ve ever had. Most of the time, a bagel will be dense and tough to pull apart while eating. Not this one. It was light and fluffy and full of flavor despite being a plain one. They use these for their sandwiches and it really makes me want to come back and try one out. As for the coffee, the americano was really good. Nothing to really highlight besides it being about what I prefer from one. Emily was really happy with her latte and I gave it a sip and it was indeed really tasty.

The baristas that were working all had to be in high school but had stellar customer service. I asked them for a few of the stickers they put on their cups and they kindly hooked us up. All in all, Viking Brews would be my go-to spot for americanos if I lived in the area but sadly do not. It was a great start to a day full of shenanigans and lost cellphones.
