Normally I love this place....go every chance I can....today I go at 1230...lunch time...only 1 person working and he's more interested in impressing a guy he went to school with and playing with the music than waiting on customers. Very disappointing.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I just want to Zoups for my first time and will never go back. There was no one at the front and after waiting 5 minutes I opened the door to the back to let them know they had customers. A man came out very aggressive and asked what we wanted. We were smiling when he walked out as if to say it’s okay that we waited and he says “I don’t think this is very funny.” ... we couldn’t believe it. My fiancé asked if I just wanted to go somewhere else and he said “if you guys want something just order it.” I then asked if they were closing and he said yes... It is 6:30 and they close at 8!! From my understanding this was the owner of Zoups so I will never be going back. On a brighter note we went across the parking lot to PotBelly and had an amazing sandwich and great customer service!!

Soups weren't quite as good as homemade, but far above average for what you usually find at soup/salad/sandwich places. Gf, vegetarian, etc options. I was really in the mood for soup and enjoyed that you can use the pick 2 option on two different soups.

Got take out. I drove very carefully, no sudden stops or acceleration beyond what is even considered fast for an 80 year old. Got home and the packaging didn't hold up. I had a napkin in my Mac n cheese, and the plastic from the bag had melted into the hot food. They wrapped their bread except for a random roll that apparently would have costed too much paper. I wanted to like this place. I really did. Food was good but just from the packaging job, I highly doubt they took the time to make sure the lid was on tight. My family meal was essentially busted. Please change the quality of your packaging for take out orders to something better.

If they were open later than 6 that would be great. Really only serves lunch and early birds.

Was hungry but not enough for a huge meal so decided to try this place for a simple soup and sandwich. The half of a sandwich was pretty big. The bread was soft and fresh. The deli meat was delicious. The soup was creamy and full of meat. The restaurant was clean and modern. The service was friendly and helpful. The prices were reasonable. They had a large selection of soups to choose from as well. We will be coming back as a regular.

Don’t bother! They’re NEVER open when they say they’re going to be at this location. I can only make it to Bloomington a couple nights a week and I’ve tried going to Zoup about 5 times and each time I find out their hours have changed. First they were open until 8pm, but when I tried going around 7pm I discovered that they changed to summer hours and were only open until 6pm even tho their hours online were still listed as 8pm. Their summer hours actually lasted through October which last I checked is in the fall. It’s November now and they still have their hours listed on google as only open until 6pm, so I tried calling the location to find out when their “summer” hours were going to end. They had an automated system that had an option for hours, so I selected that and they had a recording saying they were open until 8pm. So I tried going again, got there around 7:20pm, their open sign was still lit up and the door was unlocked but when I get inside they tell me that now they have fall hours (there is snow outside right now by the way so it’s not fall anymore) and they’re only open until 7pm. At this point I’m giving up even trying to go because I think they just change their hours based on whatever time the d*** college kid running the store wants to leave that night. They need to do A LOT better at monitoring their franchises!

Worst service anywhere in a long time. Delivered the wrong soup and now won't answer their phone to correct it. No way to communicate back to them through app or email. Won't be reordering.

Not going to lie, This restaurant is one that stirs conflicting feelings within me when I think about it. Asking about the soup I learn that none of it is made in house, while some of the soups I find to be tasty, as a “soup restaurant” and for their price one would expect at least one or two soups made in house. Alas, this is not the case. Along with the other reviews concerning bad management and rude service, I have experienced good and bad times, although my experiences tend to lean towards the bad more then the good, much to my disappointment. Peeking into the kitchen revealed disorganization that rivals the worst of many restaurants I’ve seen. Moldy bread was one of my worst and most revolting experiences here. After inquiring, I find the bread to have “improper” storage methods that lead to the bread easily molding. The lack of rotation also leads to stale bread. There are many more things I could list, however all I can say is that if you should choose to visit this establishment to eat, a word of advice, inspect your food before you eat it.

Great food with fresh ingredients. It a bit pricey, but worth the cost.

We love eating here but they need to schedule more than one person to work any shift, especially lunch. We left without ordering today because the ONE person working was too overwhelmed to even take our order. Management needs to do better.
