Nestled inside of the Rock Island Pub is this gem of a food stop. I cannot express the level of flavors that are in each of their dishes. My absolute favorite and go-to dish is the Cuban. I have tried many dishes and have not been disappointed.

The food here is really above and beyond.. we had the idfw meat tacos, birria egg rolls, the alive alone Burger, and the garlic butter fries... Oh. My GOD. LOOK OUT KUMA's , they got it down better.

I ordered the bison burger and it was delicious! First time and I was impressed. Not a big burger fan. But, the combination of guacamole, pickled red onions and jalapeños complimented the bison!!

Located inside the Rock Island Public House, you can find this gem serving more or less upscale Mexican. The menu changes but I haven’t been disappointed. As a vegetarian, I had my first experience with Jackfruit and oh my goodness, it was amazing. The cheese tamales are homemade and absolutely delicious. I even enjoyed the garlic fries! I can tell the food is made with love.And a little cherry on top was that the staff heard my friend was there for her birthday and they brought out a delicious little dessert on the house. Keep in mind they are not there every day, but worth the wait!
Vegetarian options: They can tailor some dishes, but there is always a couple of veg options.

What an amazing hidden gem. Stopped in to have a beer and see some friends and ended up making more started off with the chips and salsa which was absolutely incredible. Move onto bizarro’s. Take on the Cuban and I had to order another to go. The fiancé got the burrito that I had to try. Closed out the night with dessert which was incredible and a great treat to end the night. Will definitely be back.

Elevated Mexican and street food done right. A lot of restaurants nowadays will throw on a myriad of trendy ingredients in an attempt to make something unique and modern. But more often than not the end resulting is lackluster and the ingredients distracting. Not Bizzaro & Son! Every ingredient is thought out and intentional. The end result is a well crafted blend of textures and flavors unique to Bizzaro. Not only is the presentation on point but Bizzaro nails the basics. My chicken sandwich was perfectly fried, sweet and spicy without dripping sauce down my fingers. The tacos were flavorful and the tortillas fresh. Will definitely be back.

I ordered tamales for my dads birthday party. there were a lot of options and they responded so quickly and helped me choose what i needed. everyone at the party complimented the home cooked flavors. if you're looking for good eats, i highly reccomend this family run business.

Just tried the Don Fidel Tacos at Rock Island Public House and I’m in love! It was one of the freshest, most perfectly made tacos I’ve ever had. Their pico is to die for as well. 10/10 would recommend!!

The Don Fidel Tacos are hands down the best tacos I’ve ever had! And they are PACKED with carnitas. The Cheech Nachos were delicious as well, the puffed duros being such a fun twist instead of regular tortilla chips, and the dish had the perfect amount of heat. Finally the Churro’ck Island Sundae was amazing, we loved the malt vanilla ice cream especially.
