Today bought carnitas & Barbacoa for here, SO DISAPPOINTED. BARBACOA nothing but fat& Carnitas so dry. No flavor. What a waste of $30.00. Nothing like the flavor it had on 18th street.

Do not show up here with any expectations of a full service restaurant. This is a well oiled Mexican carnitas machine. Cozy with limited seating and they’ve been known to run out of carnitas, so come early. We walked in grabbed a seat and the first thing we noticed was no menu. No QR codes, no prices anywhere. Just saw a couple signs of what they had available and ordered accordingly. One lb of carnitas comes with Home Made tortillas, escabeche, salsas, onion/cilantro and lime wedges. Let me tell you, every bite was absolutely divine! Just amazing downright Mexican carnitas done right. The line is long but the butcher keeps it moving. They have barbacoa, birria, consomé, tacos de cesos, and chicharrón, to name a few items. This place is legit, highly recommend.

We came in and ordered 2 lbs with cueritos, 1 agua de horchatas, 2 bottles of pop and 1 can of pop. We were told there was no more cueritos and within the next 5-10 min another customer came and they gave him cueritos. Our total came out $61.29. It’s over-priced for okay tasting carnitas and on top of that the lady who charges basically stares the screen down and demands a tip when the customer service isn’t that great either.
