My husband discovered this place after the remodel, and we’ve been coming back ever since. Each visit feels a little different in the best way.
In the warmer months, we stop by for ice cream and enjoy the enclosed outdoor seating, which is beautifully decorated with lights and thoughtful details. In the winter, it’s our go-to spot for pastries and coffee ☕️.
We’ve even ordered a birthday cake from here, so I’ll have more to update soon.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Iverson’s Bakery in Blue Island is fantastic. They have an awesome selection of baked goods, and the staff is unbelievably friendly and welcoming. Everything is fresh, and the service always makes you want to come back. I highly recommend stopping in, you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve come here a few times and the donuts were soft and fresh, but this time they were stale. They tasted like they were old. They were horrible. I called the bakery and they told me to bring the donuts back with the receipt but my husband had misplaced the receipt, so we were left with $20 worth of old donuts.

Things have changed and not in a good way for the food. The remodel is cute. The food is dry and I have gone twice now with two different people and same experience. We didn’t even finish the treats. We have tried the cake donuts, glazed donuts, coffee cake slices, and pumpkin donut. They used to be THE BEST. I miss the old recipes and women who worked there. They also used to have so many cakes and coffee cakes in fridges on display and breads to purchase, I didn’t see any of these things. Sad. I won’t go back for a third trip and it used to be a weekly stop.

We went in for popcorn and I wanted an oatmeal raisin cookie. The cookie was stale and didn't taste fresh at all. Won't be back.

I grew up all my life with Iversen's Bakery and since they reopened it is not the same at all...I had they're Banana cream pie and it was terrible not real pie the banana was like eating banana pudding they didn't even put slivers of almonds on the top...I will never order it again... Good luck for them in the future
It hurts me to say this but Iverson's isn't the same. The chocolate cake donuts (they're prize possession) use to be made fresh, now, they taste like they've been sitting out for about two days. Man...please get it together Iverson's. Love the new place however!

Tried ordering a cake for my mom's birthday and pick up on Tuesday. Employee told me they needed 72 hr notice, however 48 hr notice is standard. She tried to contact the manager Erin who told her to let me know they can't accommodate me. I've been coming here for years. Service used to be really good. Guess I'll start looking for another bakery.

A south side classic reimagined! The same sweet treats now with a modern, upscale coffee shop vibe, amazing soft serve, and gourmet pop corn. Amazing addition to Blue Island/Beverly area. So happy they have finally opened!

If I could gave this place a half a star I would. It has definitely went down hill since the new owners not only that donuts don’t taste the same very disappointed. The older lady with the gray hair that’s on the morning shift is very mean and unpleasant. I will not return. The 2 Hispanic ladies who previously ran the other location are truly missed. 😑
