This will be a different experience for people who have never had it. You have to try the Italian beef with the cheese sauce and jalapenos if you can handle it. Scrumptious! The bread will be soggy which will throw you if you don't understand that's normal for this sandwich. This place is small and divey and very fast. Keep them going, they deserve it.
We needed a simple lunch after conducting business at the rental car agency across the street. I was skeptical of the place, and the whole chain. How good could it be? But it was solid! My Chicago style dog (with all the stuff on it), my wife's Italian beef, and my mother-in-law's cheese dog were all very good. Not the best we've ever had, but better than expected, especially for the price.
Everytime I come home from out of town, I still come here for the Mozzarella Red Italian Beef with extra au jus on the side & a green river of course! Some seats inside & outside to eat. So vintage & cool!
