Monical's Pizza

The delivery guy was very nice and it came basically on time, but I don’t know what’s going on with the pizza quality. Monica’s used to be good but now it’s barely mediocre. I ordered a pizza well done hoping it would solve the past limp pizza but this last order was not well done and almost soggy. It’s in my oven right now, hoping to salvage it. I think this is my last Monica’s order… and I’ve been a customer for years! There are too many other options in the area. Fix the quality, please!

Monical's Pizza is ONE of our favorite Bourbonnais pizza places - and we always try to eat there - or bring home a frozen one. The pizza is thin with a spicy sauce. Family Pleaser is the best choice when ordering.

Pizza was great, but salad could be better. Don't order with the tomatoes!!!

Lunch Buffet is back, $12.99 adult. I've loved Monical's Pizza since I was a kid. I remember going there when the walls were filled with toy and movie memorabilia. It was a great atmosphere. Sorry to say all that is gone. Monical's please bring it back. It was amazing going in there and reliving your childhood.
Back to the buffet. Pre COVID, it was amazing. All different combinations of pizzas as well as dessert pizza. The buffet was closed during and after COVID but has recently re-opened. Same great pizza but no dessert pizzas, just some chocolate pudding. I'm sure it's fine but pudding on salad bars and buffets just weird me out a bit. Service could have been better but it seemed like they only had 1 server in the dining area. I gave the atmosphere 3 stars since there really is anything special or unique in there anymore.

Love their pizza. I order the thin crust with sausage, pepperoni, o ion and green pepper. It is a feast in your mouth. Delicious.

We went in for early dinner at about 430 on New Year's Eve. It was dead in there. We stood and waited for a hostess or someone to seat us for 10 minutes and no one ever came.
There were employees at the counter, and one customer there. There was one table in the restaurant with 2 people. We looked in the dining area for a waitress or someone to seat us and saw no one. The employees at the counter never even acknowledged us, and we made sure to stand where they could see us.
After waiting over 10 minutes with no acknowledgement by a single employee, we decided to leave and went to Sammy's Pizza just down the road - where they were busy, we were greeted and seated immediately, had great service and delicious pizza!
I love Monical's, but this experience has made me a fan of Sammy's going forward!

Buffet used to have soup and desert. So you now pay more for less. The food is good but I still am unhappy about less costing more. And I really miss that desert.

Drove from Delaware for my childhood Pizza!

Love this place. We reserved the back room for a get together after my grandpa's funeral. Service was wonderful. Food was great. No complaints.
