Had lunch here. Ordered some pastrami, brisket, and some jalapeno cheddar links. All were awesome! The pastrami was a special item at the time so dont expect it all the time. Soo good, will definitely be back.

Grabbed dinner here with wifey last night. Heard about the owner having health struggles so wanted to contribute to a small business. We ordered the smoked chicken pita which was on the Friday Special Menu. I also ordered a side of potato salad. Wifey said “less sauce & more chicken” about the pita, which I’d have to agree about the former. The potato salad was fairly creamy & tasty but a lil less sauce would also be good. I wonder if the guy who took our order (brown hair, glasses) was perhaps a manager; he was asking the other guys to do various tasks but not in a bossy way, & he said thank you after each request 💗I definitely want to return to actually try some BBQ!

Unimpressive to be honest. More bone than meat. Was it tender? Yes. Would I pick it in a line up? Probably not as it was a bit dry. I couldve buried that in that amazing BBQ sauce but again, there was barely any meat. Disappointed to say the least. Ive had better within a 10 minute drive, which doesnt feel very award winning.
Update: cant forget about that singular tortilla with some cinnamon or whatever that they sell for $5. Ridiculous.

Greatest bbq joint in the Chicagoland area. I even have poker buddies in the far south suburbs no where near Brookfield who wear Beach Ave merch ans know where to go for the best brisket and BBQ in Illinois.

If one day you discover you have a craving for authentic barbeque, well wow!…this is the place. We had the 1/2 brisket, the pulled pork sandwich, mac and cheese and pit beans. All were unbeatable! The portions are very large, and the sandwich is overstuffed, so if you think the prices are a little high, you’re getting a large portion of whatever you order! My only “eh” comment is the flimsy napkins, and plastic cutlery. Lots of waste here with paper products. And it’d be great to have a pleasant outdoor space to eat in; other than next to the road. Actually that’d be ok if it were protected from the road by bushes or trees, fake or real! The staff were ultra friendly and helpful and made you feel as if you were an old friend popping by for a great meal!

I love that you can smell the smoker in the back as soon as you pull up. The food was great. The BBQ sampler was fantastic. The pulled chicken is elite and the brisket was spoon tender!
