Oh my God, I haven't been to or eaten here in ages and wow. I tried the cheese curdwich just for fun, and I swear I bit into a brick, aside the accommodations being beyond filthy, I couldn't even find a clean table to sit in... For a Zoo to compete on a national scale this has really gone downhill in the last two years... Just driving in and walking in through the main tunnel, what happened??? It's this Fallout? C'mon Chicago, do better.
Good food and acceptable prices. Burger was $15ish. Cool atmosphere and nice place to relax for a moment. Overall great service.

The food quality has been going down further and further at the zoo's restaurants while the prices keep going up, which is sad to see as a zoo member. The food is on par with a grade school cafeteria but priced similar to Applebee's. Complaints don't seem to do any good so we stopped getting food altogether at the zoo. The seasonal soft drink refillable cup is still a nice thing to have tho so that is all that I go into the building for. I know yall can do better so when you do, I'll give you another chance.

If you’re looking for a wait comparable to the lifespan of a tortoise, look no further than Cafe Del Sol. While I don’t usually take time to leave reviews for restaurants, the service of this restaurant was so astronomically awful that I felt obliged to inform you. The ordering system of the restaurant perfectly encapsulates inefficiency. Two screens cater to long lines of visitors, typically around 50 people. The variety of food is incredibly minuscule and overpriced. The wait, however, is far from over. One might mistake the crowded, stuffy wait for a pilgrimage, although no salvation would be provided. My regrettable experience included waiting over an hour for two mediocre burgers. Two burgers! Many customers sharing my plight expressed their displeasure with the slow nature of the staff and incorrect orders. Upon finally getting the food after the excruciating wait, I was delightfully informed that the cups for fountain drinks lacked lids or straws. The seating was lacking for the sheer amount of people dining in. The tables were neither cleaned nor sanitized in the slightest. The floors were dirty, littered with smushed fries and pollution. As I sat down to eat, my expectations plummeted. The fries were too thick and soggy to be called cuisine. Surprisingly, the burgers were mediocre, serving as an oasis in my barren desert of culinary despair. I feel truly sorry for anyone who had to experience the painstaking journey of ordering here. The restaurant should be renamed “Cafe Del Dolor” for the excruciating experience they burden upon their customers. While I previously had a pleasant experience with the cafe, the service has significantly downgraded. In conclusion, save yourself the time, money, and patience, and grab a snack from a nearby vending machine.

Wanted at least a half hour to order food. Then took 50 minutes!! I mean some kind of warning on the door with estimated wait times. The manager was pretty cool and took care of us but I'll definitely never go in that build again.

I had a curry quinoa bowl. I did not taste any curry flavor in the bowl but overalls the bowl taste good. It is little pricey because the portions of the bowl is small.

Food overpriced and poor quality. But if you must…Burger is okay but don’t order cheese on it; seems like they use canned liquid cheese. Curry quinoa is a good choice. Falafel burger is the absolute worst…makes the mall food court look like fine dining! Avoid this item! The fries are good!

Burgers are good and “Plain Jane” hot dog is good for the kids. Hand breaded chicken tenders are delicious as well. Properly breaded chicken. Full of flavor and spices. Made fresh. Fries are cooked and seasoned well. It’s decent zoo food.
Super delicious food, falafel sandwich ? is highly recommend
Vegetarian options: Falafel ? sandwich is the best
Kid-friendliness: Right in the heart of Brookfield zoo

There was a nice cashier but the workers give bad service. The food is fake, for example the Cesar Salad contains kale and chickpeas which isn't supposed to be in a Cesar salad. Half of it is rice. Overpriced food.
I actually like this place. The food quality is better than what I ever expected. Good fried, great chicken, decent portions. Some people complain, but like, yall expecting perfection smh, back in my day we ate what we were given. Chill like dayumn chanelll

Properly breaded chicken. Full of flavor and spices. Made fresh. Fries are cooked and seasoned well. Next to the Denver Zoo this has been our best zoo food.
