Back when I lived in the area, Irish Times had just opened and I stopped in to have a Guinness. Now, I have had Guinness all over the Chicago area and never has a Chicago pint ever approached the magical, otherworldly flavor of a pint consumed in Ireland. I don't know if it's the water, the proximity to the brewery or just some kind of strange magic that happens to Guinness in Ireland, but I've never had better. That all changed when I drank that first pint at Irish Times. It was easily the best pint of Guinness I've had outside the Emerald Isle. I've since left the area and have had pints all over the United States and Canada. Nothing has approached the quality, freshness and taste of the Guinness at Irish Times in Brookfield. If you are lucky enough to be nearby, don't hesitate to make a detour to the pub. You will not regret it.
Great place to visit . The owner and staff are wonderful , as is the food . one word - fantastic !
The food is very good. The Corned Beef & Cabbage was tasty. Had the Irish Stew, but it was the first stew I had that did not have carrots in it. The service was a bit slow and our server disappeared for a while. Waited a long time to get change. The parking lot is big, but they need to put lines for the spaces and not allow parking so close to get the entrance. Had a difficult time getting into the lot.

Great place to host a medium to small event (50 or fewer). Traditional pub food, great drinks and friendly staff. OK for eating out too, but service can be slow on off times of day (mid afternoon).
Parking: Watch for parking restrictions during weekdays.

Authentic Irish Bar experience and delicious food. Try the beef stew or Chicken Pot Pie!
Kid-friendliness: Kids need to be old enough to sit at high tops. They had a kids menu and scavenger hunt of fairy doors installed around the restaurant.
