Our friends brought us here as it is their go to for something that tastes like the food they grew up with in Macedonia. The food was great. I like all kinds of meats and this place did not disappoint. Plenty of meat options and the portions were HUGE. The price point was very reasonable and you definately get a lot of food. I would highly reccomend to anyone who wants to try balkan food or anyone with a big appetite. I have gone back several times and it is now one of my favorites when in this area.

I recently ordered from Skadarliya and requested no bread with my order, as I donāt eat bread. I even mentioned they could substitute it with whatever they had available. Instead of accommodating my request, they sent me two loaves of French bread.
Iām not sure if this was a misunderstanding, a mistake, or someone trying to be funny, but it was frustrating nonetheless. Either they didnāt read my request carefully, were confused, or decided to ignore it entirely. It made me question their attention to detail and customer care.
The rest of the food might have been fine, but this left a sour taste in my mouthāespecially when I went out of my way to communicate my preferences clearly.

While transparency is important, this approach suggests a rigidity that leaves little room for diners with specific needs. Rather than working to provide allergy-friendly options or accommodating requests, it feels like the restaurant operates on a ātake it or leave itā philosophy.
In Serbia, particularly in Belgrade, many restaurants have embraced modern dietary trends and cater to gluten-free diets. Even in a country known for its rich, hearty cuisine with bread often as a staple, thereās been significant progress in accommodating diverse dietary needs, including gluten-free options.

Wonderful people with magnificent attitude ā¦ā¦ however ā¦ā¦. the pizza was lukewarm and when I asked could it be heated up I was told no but then only the microwave. Above this though , the pizza was mediocre at best. Just was not put together as it could have been. I would not return here. āļøāļø

Atmosphere was very nice, spacious and well lit, there even was an outdoor smoking section which was a surprise to both myself and my wife (this did not affect our experience in a negative way). Our waitress was friendly and provided excellent suggestions. Portion sizes were very generous and we were unable to finish all of the food we received. The location is perfect for anyone spending the day at the Galloping Ghost Arcade. The only small criticism I had regarding the food (and it may be because it was my first experience) was that the meat was a bit mild for my tastes. It wasn't bland but it didn't quite pack a large punch either, ultimately (if I could) I would be going back again to try the different options that are available. The shopska salad was very good though and very tomatoey. If you haven't tried Skadarliya and you're in the area you should give it a shot!

Serverka mi ladno rekla da āzbog toga Å”to ne ostavljamo tips oni moraju da nam i tips naplate preko gratuity-ja jer jedino tako dobijaju svoju platuā. Skandalozno! Slicno nesto sam cuo i u jednom drugom srpskom restoranu u Cikagu! Jebo mater jel bas svugde treba da vas izbegavam?!? Ne znam dal ovo sve neko cita ali zbog ove svinjarije sa obaveznim gratuity-jem cu odsad da ih zaobilazim bez obzira sto im je hrana ok.
