One of our favorite go-to spots! Everything is consistently delicious—the rolls are amazing, and the chicken and pork katsu are hands down some of our favorites. They put their own unique spin on the sauces, and it really takes everything to the next level. Also, the salad and dressing are super fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend Hakuya!

Came to grab some take-out sushi yesterday. Rolls were great (Sexy Lady, King Dragon, Salmon Avocado). Soy sauce was a bit too salty. But I'm completely floored - this was the first place since Covid debacle that didn't ask for tips for take-out. I'm so tired of restaurants suggesting 20% tips for take-out, where no tippable service has been done... Anyway, will be stopping by more often now.

I hadn’t been there in a while, and what used to be a place for a satisfying lunch, an easy dinner takeout, and a cool spot to hang out has turned into another nameless suburban sushi joint (which are usually avoided for their botched take on fine Japanese cuisine).
A warm welcome by former White House chef Chuck himself, was overshadowed by a distinct smell of cleaning chemicals mixed with lingering cooking odors of burnt oil. That alone should have been enough to cancel the order while waiting for my evening treat. Alas, I did not.
The same borderline stench that permeated the entire restaurant made its way into the sushi rolls themselves, leaving an aftertaste that removed any doubt: I won’t be ordering again until the place restores its pristine state. I hope Chuck takes heed and brings back what once earned this spot a place in my personal pantheon of suburban sushi restaurants.
6 years ago Amazing food at reasonable prices. The best sushi restaurant I had tried so far. Chuck offers personal service and his staff is always very courteous and welcoming. The tables are clean and all is organized and in order. I go there regularly for Sexy Lady roll and nigiri, because the fish tastes fresh and delicious. If you live in the area and love sushi, this should be your place to go on the regular basis.

I waited 1 hour. I received a beer, with a Old Fashion glass, one very small bowl of Miso soup, and no sushi. 1 hour still no sushi,that I ordered as soon as I sat down. I finally left. RIDICULOUS! p.s. the place is a dump!

This place used to be amazing from the staff including ownership to the restaurant itself. This is my 2nd review only bc it’s been months & im still waiting for the owner to refund me for the nasty sushi I gotten with lack of service I received. I placed an order few weeks back & gave specific instructions that staff did not follow no spicy mayo on any of my sushi rolls that caused me to go to the ER & throw $65 worth of food in a trash. After numerous attempts of reaching out to the restaurant and the run around that I gotten. It’s been weeks & no one got back to me. Horrible customer service I would never again go there

We ordered Sushi from this restaurant through Doordash. Our driver couldn't or wouldn't deliver our food so the owner of this amazing restaurant drove it to our house himself! Not only was he so kind to do this but, our meal was delicious. If you are looking for a truly good service and yummy food do yourselves a favor and try out this fantastic restaurant 😋

I order take-out sushi from Hakuya often, and it’s always outstanding! The sushi is incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and consistently delicious. You can really taste the quality in every bite. Highly recommend Hakuya to anyone who loves great sushi!
