I wasn't really impressed. They have a big menu but a lot of items on the menu are not available. The drink, appetizer and dessert I asked for were all not available. I ended up eating chicken bibimbap that wasn't more than just ok. It's a small restaurant with a few booths and a couple big tables in the middle. Booths seemed cozy but seating at the tables in the middle of a small room was not exciting. If you just need a quick stop for eating sushi with your friend the restaurant is probably fine.

Food is great, not expensive, we come here all the time. Tuesday and Thursdays are the days to come, you can order from the lunch menu at night.

I had to edit my comment. I’ve been to Hakuya multiple times but the quality has dropped. Service is still good, however the food is not as fresh as before. Not sure if I’d go back anytime soon.

I wanted to like this because a friend of mine suggested it. They were understaffed, which is not their fault- that seems to be a problem everywhere, but we had to wait 15 minutes for menus. The food was not fresh at all; not sure how they haven't gotten anyone sick yet. And... the tables are too small fir the booths. We looked around and people of all sizes had to sit on the very edge of the seat to be able to reach the table, so if you do go there, ask for a table.

First time trying this place. I’m disappointed to say that my experience wasn’t close to as good as the reviews make this place seem. The valentine roll was a total let down. The tuna was not fresh at all. The only good part we’re the tiny chunks of salmon that I dug out. They tasted decently fresh. As for the sweet potato roll it was just too large with too many other ingredients. Only about a third was sweet potato if that. Also not a fan of the cream cheese mixed with the veggies I gotta say. Overall this place just wasn’t for me.

Fresh, delicious, sushi with thick slices of fish, with just the right amount of spice or cream cheese or whatever else you might find in your roll of choice to bring out the flavor of the fish instead of masking it. I can't believe this is so close to home - I'm completely beside myself with glee right now.Update: it's been 6 years and I'm still in love. I have eaten here a mortifying number of times and picked up sushi to go even more often and I've never had a bad experience.Second update: I've moved, and Hakuya is the only restaurant I'll travel to reach. Absolutely impeccable every time.
