Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant- Burr Ridge

We usually have a great experience at this location. However, yesterday when celebrating my mom's birthday, it was a bit unpleasant. Everything started out great, the server seemed nice. We got to ordering, and my fiancé ordered the shrimp scampi. The rest of our party already had our food out, and it wasn't until then that the server came out and told us that they were out of the scampi. We aren't bothered by the fact that they ran out of the dish, she did say it was a popular one, but waiting until all our food was out was what bothered us. Of course, he ordered another dish, and they even gave him a soup so he at least had something, but they didn't even discount the meal after the manager said herself she would “take care of it”. We had also asked for more bread, which I had to remind the server about. It also took about 10 minutes to get refills on water and 3 cokes out. We also had asked for another bottle of wine when our food first came out, but we didn't receive it until we were almost done with our food. This is our favorite Cooper's location, and, again, service is usually amazing, but yesterday was just a lot wrong in one night.

It was an extremely pleasant experience. The staff was not only knowledgeable & professional but courteous, friendly and welcoming. The food was by far the best I've had in Illinois Coopers hawk locations. We will be back!

Restaurant was freezing cold and extremely loud. Waited a very long time for our entrees to arrive, only a sandwich and a salad mind you. People next to us sat down after us and were finished with their meal before we got our dinner. Salad was missing the chicken when it finally arrived. Was told by manager it would be taken off bill, but it was not. We asked about it and then they proceeded to take $15 off not the full price which was $20. By the way, $20 for a salad? And $17 for meatball appetizer? Outrageous

Overall fabulous evening at Cooper's Hawk Burr Ridge! Cindy at the wine tasting bar was absolutely fabulous as usual, ambience at the booth in the bar was wonderful. The wine, as always, was stellar. We got some of the new seasonal truffles, Apple Crisp, and I believe it is my favorite to date of their seasonal masterpieces.

Awesome time at dinner. Celebrate the wife's birthday. Restaurant was quite today and we were hoping to pace out a nice meal. Sylvia delivered big. Started out with cocktails and an excellent seasonal appetizer. Place our orders with a starter salad they split for us. Sylvia took her time to put in our entrees so we had time between courses. Entrees we're excellent. For me I asked for really rare filet and tuna. Chef nailed it. My wife's entree was equally delish. Finished off our meal with some truffles for the birthday. Great pace from Sylvia made our meal exceptional. Best meal here in a long time.

Servers are always attentive and kind. Excellent wine and lovely ambiance. Best of the Coopers in suburbs.

Nice selection on the lunch menu. Elizabeth, our waiter, was very attentive. Overall, a good dining experience.

Food was very good. Grouper was moist, tasty and came warm. Betty potatoes were creamy and hot. Asparagus was warm and tender except for the bottom of the stem. The appetizer Crispy Barbacoa Arancini were fabulous. Came warm, crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside. Even the toppings were great. The trio filet were cooked to order but somewhat smaller than I remember. The dessert was also very good. Sticky Honey-Lemon Cake was not over powering with lemon or honey, just the right amount. Although the almond brittle topping was a little too sweet for me. Bread was not that great. Appeared to be re-heated. Been here many times & usually seemed freshly made. As long as the bread was warm (which was not long) it was soft but as it warmed, it became chewy then hard. We were there on Sept 3rd. When we asked to sample wine of the month - they were sold out. We have been club members for 12 yrs & this only happened once, during covid. They apologized but said they were also out of the dinner special Shanghai Braised Short Ribs. It was only 3 days into the month. Last time they were out of Elderflower liquor. Who ever is ordering for the restaurant/bar should pay more attention. Hope to get our new wine soon. Think the club members should at least get their bottles reserved. We drive 30 miles to this location because the other locations we tried were very subpar. We will have to rethink for future dinners.

Server didn't acknowledge my husband and my bday same day 9/1. The host did write down in the card bday celebration . She seemed overwhelmed, not engaging etc.. Not providing the excellent service I receive from your rest of your staff . I was very disappointed . Not a pleasant experience . In another note your patio area Must be updated . You need some planters , flowers , decor . Floors were dirty (maybe power wash) I also recommend some kind of music . I don't want to hear next table full conversation . Downers grove location has an excellent patio . I was going this week to Burr Ridge but I will go to Downers instead . Thanks for attention

Nick our server was excellent . He had a very large group and other tables but made sure we were happy with our service and meal . I rejoined the wine club a few months ago. I'm am pleased to have returned .

The hostess were very pleasant and I was able to observe their tidiness by attending to the menus and wiping them down. The server's were friendly and polite to the guest. I was able to see the managers on the floor and making sure everything was running smoothly. I would come back to this location.

We went w friends and definitely had a great time. Stefani is a wonderful server. I love her personality. Shes a keeper.

Despite the very busy service time of 7:15 PM, our waitress did a phenomenal job of ordering our food and always with a big smile. 

Great wines, food and service. Love your wine tasting room. Your servers in the tasting room are amazing especially Krista. She's informative and friendly.
