D.A.’S Deli and Dining Calumet City

Today we ordered take out from this establishment and the food along with the service was nasty. The lady was rude and very unprofessional when my 86 year old mother requested Lima Beans she said to my mother do you see Lima Beans on the menu? The menu is right there up beside the wall. You don’t know if the customer can read the menu because of eye issues or what… why just not be polite and if you don’t live what you do, quit. That was very uncalled for and we will never patronize this place again. It’s sad that when you try to support Black businesses they act this way.

Limited options the corned beef was horrible and soggy like a pre-made gas station sandwich this location is just a waste of resources someone should really look into false advertisement never heard of DA's deli but it might confuse you and to thinking you're at AP deli the original and world's greatest corned beef sandwiches do not waste your time and money at this location it is a knock off and a fraud

20 Some dollars for a sandwich is crazy and I bought 3 of them and wasn’t impressed at all. that’s why You can’t believe everything on Facebook.. It’s not worth the money when you can go to A.P. deli And get better food and cheaper

For $25.00 for a half pound beef sandwich and a half pound corn beef and pastrim sandwich that was not done and the bread hard I'm done with them smh can't eat 😤 know stars from me

This is the worst place I have a sandwich, I ordered a 1/2 pound Ruben. It was all fat!! Took 15 minutes with no one waiting. Skimpy on every thing. There is no way that whole sandwich was a 1/2 a pound . I could have ate 4 of them. I’ve gone to the oak forest location just to find there closed cause the a/c is broke or some other excuse. Plus finally when I get a sandwich it is the worst of the worst! So sad!

Good quick service, I only used the drive thru. I bought the 1/2 pounder corned beef combo, it was tasty on rye bread.

6/10/2025 I should have read the reviews because now I feel sick and was throwing up. When I came in I should have known to leave because I asked for taste sample test and she refused but instead I ordered a corn beef lunch the was cabbage was over cooked salty and old the corn beef was thick plale over cooked and tough and rubbery the sweet potato was mushy and greasy old tasting as well the cornbread tastes like baking soda not fresh and to top it off I ask for my money back and told them it made me feel sick I can't eat this I'll bring it back so (politely) she said no money back and now they not even answering the phone this is very unprofessional come to find out it's black owned now I see why we don't support are own.

Worst corned beef sandwich I’ve ever had. It tasted similar to packaged lunch meat from a grocery store.

The bread was hard, and the meat tasted old.

First and last time patronizing this “black owned business”. Mac and cheese was mushy as hell, greens were literally disgusting, taste was horrible and the corn beef sandwich was full of scraps it was not a half pound sandwich. Very disappointing, drove all the way to Calumet City was a waste of time and money.!!!

"I had high hopes for D.A's Corned Beef, but my experience at the Calumet location was terrible. The sandwich was awful—the meat was way too thick, and they heated it so much that my Swiss cheese turned into a disgusting, glue-like mess. It looked more like mayonnaise than melted cheese. I traveled all the way from Indianapolis to try this place, and now I regret it. I couldn't even finish my meal—I felt sick and ended up throwing the sandwich in the trash. I will never waste my money here again."

The meat they used in my last visit was terrible and very poor quality from before. I received my order right before they closed so when I called the next day no kind of resolution was reached. Sure enough I ate half the sandwich cause that's all I had to eat that night plus they were closed 5 mins before closing for us to get the situation reconciled then. I paid a decent amount to get a sandwich I could've gotten and made myself using deli meat. smh
