Wait time was a little long, a little pricey but let me tell you it is all worth the wait and the price. Very delicious presentation is on point. Based on the reviews, GGC EATERY is definitely worth all of the hype. The food is delicious, hearty, flavorful, and intensely seasoned. The catfish fillet is fresh and crispy, and the bourbon chicken is succulent. The turkey chops with garlic mashed potatoes are good, and the house special cornbread is literally good enough to eat by itself. Portion sizes are very generous, and the food is piping hot and fresh. The atmosphere is great, and the restaurant offers a welcoming environment. However, customer service can vary. One reviewer noted an outstanding experience, while another described a snarky, sassy demeanor from a staff member who assumed one big order for a group and made confusing comments about payments and desserts. This reviewer also mentioned the cornbread was not included in the order. Overall, the food is phenomenal and the lemonade ice drink is yummy. This is what soul food is about, and the menu is updated weekly.
