“Our server this evening was absolutely wonderful! She was the only bartender and waitresses. She was a Rockstar! Not only did she provide great service to us. She was amazing with all the other guests. She had a full bar and about 8 tables. We had a wonderful evening!”

“We got the pot roast with mashed potatoes, green beans and spaghetti. Then the bowl with jerk chicken, macaroni, dressing and sweet potatoes. We added a piece of honey corn bread. Everything was delicious! The portions are big and worth it. This place doesn't except credit cards only cash and you can zelle payment. I will definitely be back!”

“Visiting the area and family wanted us to try their brews as one of their favorites. Tried a flight of 10 beers and favs were Tangerine Trackstar, Toxic Words, Lucifer in a haze, Immoveable King, Nuban overlord and the top one Here comes the reaper. We also had the Pretzel and queso for snacks. They were very good and fast. They also had ice tea which is not always available at breweries. I will say the art work gave me pause and some of the names being a Christian but I don't know the background to comment.”

“We went to Ninja Kidz down the street and kids had a hankering for pizza.I typed it in and took me to this place.Got a XL sausage/pepperoni pizza and I’m a pizza snob but this was one of the best pizza’s I’ve ever had!Got mozz sticks and chicken strips,they were gone before they cooled down.If I’m ever in the area again I’m def going back.”

We had some filled churros to end the night. 10/10 recommend. Limited sitting but great places to get take out and enjoy!”

“We absolutely love this place. My gf actually brought home a Philly Steak and Cheese and the Italian ice when she had seen the food truck at her work at the Mill. We loved it so much we looked up the business and drove multiple times from Portage to Hammond just to get it again. Soooo good. The best Italian ice I have ever had!”

“I have eaten this pizza since I was a little kid. It’s the same!! I’m so happy! It’s so cool to eat something that you grew up eating. The Barton’s crust is very specific and delicious. I love their cheese. My kids like it now so I get to eat it all the time. They have excellent cheese bread too. And even though we don’t eat meat anymore the meat eaters around have said that their sausage tastes the same too. I remember exactly what it tastes like! lol. Try it!”

“I was recommended by some locals and it did not disappoint. I tried jumbo shrimp which had really good size and very juicy. I also tried medium Cajun shrimp, which I personally would like to see the jumbo shrimp in this seasoning. Overall crazy good. Cash only makes it harder for a quick last meal. But good over”

“My first time eating Gorditas, and how DELICIOUS.
Here they make very delicious ones, both meat and chicken, for me the Chicken one was the tastiest and with everything.

The tacos are also very delicious, although they do need to add guacamole.

The quality of the coke has gone down a bit, but the patrons that frequent Home Plate are some of the finest people that you’ll ever meet. The only other bar in Hessville that was FAR SUPERIOR the Home Plate was Brothers II, and sadly that fine establishment is no longer in business! RIP RON & SUE”

Chunks of mango, sweet but not too sweet loved it. My grandson said it was the best icecream he's had and he got the red velvet cake ice cream. This will for sure be our regular spot.”

“I always get my favorite sandwich the cold cut trio and today I decided to go with Italian herbs and cheese bread and they did not disappoint. I really enjoyed using my subway coupon, which gave me no trouble, and the ladies there were polite and very helpful. Inside is clean and neat, and the veggies looked great this time. They must have fixed the temperature gage in the cooler under the veggies, because at on point they were getting freezer burn, and I had stopped going. But I returned and yes they have it all fixed. I'll be back to this subway for sure ?”

“You know the best time for me to go to this White Castle is when I am sick from medication and I need food right now. This certain location makes me feel like I am at home chicken rings always hot, coke soda stay on point. Every time I go through the drive up so far no matter who is there they are alway nice even sometimes the cooks come from the back give me my food and tell me have a great day. “Food is usually pretty good here. Service during the day is good but if you go in late at night, just be prepared to wait 30+ minutes for your check or Togo boxes. Portion sizes are decent. Nice selection of desserts in the front. Bathrooms are taken care of pretty well.”
