“So the sandwiches are great, I have had a couple of issues with delivery but when you order from their app they use DoorDash to deliver and I guess sometimes the drivers like the food so much they pick it up and keep it for themselves. When I called the employee was rude about it BUT, when I went up the chain the manager Sarah was great and handling the problem and later got a call from the owner of the location he also wanted to make things right and promised to coach the employees to handle the situation better. Because of the post incident customer service I am willing to give them another chance. Which is why I gave service 3 stars, was just 1 but the follow up was 5. The good however is great... FYI, the large sandwich is two meals.“
“Might want to know a little bit of Spanish if the driver calls, no biggie for me, This place is amazing Im almost positive their jalapeno poppers are homemade and amazing and their chicken quesadillas are the best I've ever had and trust me I've eaten at many Mexican restaurants all over. “We're new to Gary, so we are constantly trying new places. We chose SteelCity based off of the pictures. Then looking at their menu, the options were endless and it was hard to decide.THE SERVICE: I ordered online and wasn't able to pick the time I needed to pickup our food. So I called. Let me tell you...the lady that answered the phone was great. She was patient with me and answered my questions. When I told her it was our first time trying the restaurant, she gave me some of the back story. When I was at the restaurant everybody was great. Not too often I see EVERYONE at an establishment enjoying what they do.THE FOOD: We decided we'd try burgers and 2 different styles of fries. The SteelCity Steak Fries were hands down an amazing experience and plentiful. The burgers were smash burger style and if you're like me, you love the crispy edges.LOCATION: The only issue I had was finding the restaurant. I pass it twice day and had NO IDEA it was there. The Marathon station it shares the space with definitely hides it. BUT...now that we know it's there, we will definitely be going back.Thank you for the great meal and awesome experience.“
“I really want to love Penn Station but they make it hard. Refer to the otherwise delicious club sandwich with a single, lonely strip of bacon. A quick google search indicates most internet recipes for club sandwiches call for 2-3 strips of bacon, per sandwich.Other than that the sandwich was good, but not great because it was hard to get a proper bite of sandwich goodness with such a meager portion of delicious bacon. At Jersey Mikes they give you two slices but they are usually burnt. Why is it so difficult to find a tasty sandwich properly portioned? By the way what you see here (no drink) cost $14. Next time I want a club sandwich I will make it at home. $14 will buy enough ingredients for 4 sandwiches, as they say on the East Coast PILED HIGH.“
