“After having a disappointing experience at another restaurant, we called Casa De Luz to see if they could accommodate our party of 13. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and efficient. We had no issues with seating, and our orders were taken promptly without feeling rushed. The food? Absolutely amazing! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their dishes. On top of the great food and service, the prices were very reasonable, making the entire experience even better. We couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable dining experience. If you’re looking for a place that values its customers and serves fantastic food, Casa De Luz is the place to go! We’ll definitely be back!“

“The goat of goat tacos!! I've heard alot of people from the region say you have drive to the east side for authentic goat tacos. Not true!!! Right on Gostlin Street in Hammond is some of the most delicious birria you'll ever eat!! Free parking lot but limited number of tables inside!“

“This has always been one of my favorite taco spots. They serve some of the most flavorful tacos and burritos I’ve ever had.
Upgrading to a dinner meal is only a dollar more and includes rice and beans, which is a great deal. Prices are very reasonable, especially for today, averaging around $13 per meal, and the portion sizes are very generous. The staff is friendly and attentive, which makes the experience even better.
Parking can be a bit challenging. There are about four spots in the front and six in the back, so it may take a few minutes during busy takeout times. Since the food is cooked in the dining area, you will likely leave smelling like grilled steak, so I would avoid wearing clothes that need dry cleaning.

“My first time eating Gorditas, and how DELICIOUS.
Here they make very delicious ones, both meat and chicken, for me the Chicken one was the tastiest and with everything.
The tacos are also very delicious, although they do need to add guacamole.
I recommend this place 100%“

“This is our favorite restaurant! We go almost every weekend. The food is delicious and a great value! You get a lot for your money. We were SO sad to hear that Chuy doesn’t work here anymore! 🥲 He is such a hard worker and has an excellent personality. It won’t be the same without him!“
