“Consistently good food. One of the best queso fundido around. Give it a try with poblano. Good price points. Steak dishes are always good from a burrito to carne asada. Cantador is great if spicy is your thing. Not really a bad dish on the menu. Good selection of tequila and flavors of margaritas. It does get busy at peak times, but worth the wait. A community staple for years.“
“I go there once a week. I’m addicted. These are the best gorditas I’ve tasted from any restaurant. They’re thin enough to be cooked through, but still sturdy enough to hold the ingredients inside. Expect a 25-35 minute wait time for them to be cooked to perfection.Vegetarian options: Gordita with potatoes, mushrooms, beans, or nopales (cactus)“
“Today was my first experience with this establishment. I'd purchased two steak burritos suizo for my visiting son and myself and a chicken torta to check out later. I enjoy any sandwich that is seasoned decently, has little fat and is not chewy and this burrito fit the spot for me, but my son is a little more critical because his Texas dining experience has placed his expectations higher. This is my town, I will return.“
“Went to Cocula Mexican restaurant with a party of 7.The hostess got us a comfortable table right away the service was not slow the food was gas (really good) the scenery was classic Mexican culture the atmosphere was cool and filled with good vibes everyone was enjoying themselves. You should go to this spot if you're from Calumet city area.“
“Giant margaritas, 32 oz to be exact, and some honey Mexican food were a great ending to a rainy Friday night. It was pretty busy but we were seated quickly. We were greeted with a heaping pile of hot, crispy fresh chips with the perfect amount of salt. The salsa here is not too thick but packs the perfect amount of heat. The giant margaritas helped cool us off. They offer several sizes of margaritas but we decided to get the jumbos because why not?The menu here is huge. Tons of options so I’d suggest extra time to go through it or take a look before you come. I ordered the Barbacoa tacos which are new to the menu. The plate came with 3 tacos and they were filled with meat. It also came with a side of beans and rice. This was a huge meal and was easily several meals for me. Part of the reason for this is also because as always I ate so many chips and salsa I had to take most of my meal home. It was delicious warmed up the next day for lunch. My significant other ordered the my special plate. It was a nice mix of shrimp, chicken and chorizo and came sizzling on a hot plate. The servers were very attentive and were happy to bring out more chips and salsa as needed. We had a nice time and are always happy to come back“
“Fresh tortillas always earn 5 stars! I've been coming here with family for years and it's always a great experience. The service is always so friendly, too! Oooh, can't forget the warm & spicy salsa either ?Parking: It gets packed fast! But there's always at least one spot there, like it's meant for you.“
“This taco truck did not miss! We both ordered tacos 2 different types and the flavor was there for both. I was delighted by the filling for the veggie tacos: beans, rice, lettuce, pico, sour cream, cheese and avocado. So delicious I really appreciated the freshness of the veggies. My co worker had steak tacos and a chicken quesadilla. I’ve never seen a more meat filled quesadilla. He said it had excellent flavor. We both are visitors at Ford and typically don’t have time to eat. Seeing the taco truck and learning of its popularity we were so happy to try it. This truck is well worth it, what you get for the price is flavor and value.“
