Golden tree is one of the oldest restaurants in calumet city, we moved here when I was 5 and this place is exactly the same as it ever was!!!! The owner his wife and two daughters are the sweetest ever!!! The food is awesome, prices are very good!! This will always be my go to place for that shrimp fried rice, beef chop suey and 2 extra egg rolls for the drive home to eat!!Thank you for creating and keep my child hood memories eating with the family alive!!!Plus my kids love the chicken nuggets ?

This place is horrible. The egg rolls are tough and chewy. The won ton soup has zero flavor. The chop suey sauce tastes like it has way too much sugar in it and it tastes like they cooked it too long. The only good thing about the meal was the almond cookie. I am sure they don't make those there.

Recently discovered this gem of a restaurant. We have ordered several times and enjoyed a variety of dishes. This is some of the best Chinese food we have ever had. The food is fresh and delicious and comes in very generous portions. The shrimp in lobster sauce is outstanding. The beef with pea pods can't be beat. And the veggie egg foo is young is chock full of vegetables. This is now our go to for Chinese food.
