Fresh fried food, big shrimp, breading is light and easily falls off. The fries are fresh cut just but flavor is okay and serving size is on the smaller size. Pricing is more reasonable than other seafood eateries. 1/2 pound of shrimp dinner can easily feed (2). I wished had more healthier options to choose from but a great place to go for a cheat meal.

I must say this is the best Shrimp and Chicken place in Calumet City!!!! My girlfriend and I was looking for something to eat when we came across The Shack Shrimp & Chicken. The staff is very friendly. The portions that we received were big and the price was just right. We order a 1b of shrimp, a poor boy shrimp sandwich and the chicken tenders and shrimp combo. The chicken was fresh juicy and tender. The shrimp were large and seasoned to perfection. Peter was amazing!!!! Definitely recommend this place!!!!!! Next time I will take pics, it's all gone lol.

. It's worth stopping by to taste their shrimp. I think u should do a shrimp comparison with the competitor down the street(shrimp express). I like this shrimp coating because it s mostly flour and fried crispy. The shrimp are deveined and has tasty seasoning. I'm not sure if the shrimp are brined first but they are not tough. Sometimes with the larger shrimp they are tough. So order the large and it only took 15mins. I called in my order at the traffic light and order was ready in that 10-15min wait. Thanks Quentin

The best hidden gem in the south burbs. Make your way to cal city just to hit this spot up. Juicy tender chicken, great sauces too. Love this place
I'm from Chicago came back to visit Chicago a friend advised me that this place was pretty good and better than some seafood places in this area, not true... On a scale of 1 to 10 this remind me of pre-frozen food dropped in the grease.. I'll rather eat JJ's fish much better, I won't be back, but at least the fries was good

My first and last time here. This place was unprofessional. They told me my two ginger ales were in the bad and they weren't. Food was cold. They didn't add my perch to the menu and didn't give me cocktail sauce as requested. The food isn't even good. They also charged me for a 15% tip which I didn't approve of.

This was my first time eating at The Shack and I was not happy with my initial order; yet Jasmine the Manager turned me into a return customer. Her customer service and professionalism is the only reason I will come back to this location. As I was sitting waiting for my food she gave me a sample of the Chicken Chili which is excellent. After I didn't like the shrimp she substituted it with the Chili and I will be back again. If more Managers had A+ customer service like Jasmine there would be more satisfied repeat customers like I am. Thank you Jasmine and keep up the professionalism. Dr. Bailey
