Combined A & W and Long John Silver’s is closed and has been for at least 10 days. No signage on the door/windows. Banner out front says restaurant closed. Only A & W within 50 miles?

Wow, I stopped going to A&W in Carbondale il, 9 months ago. Today I tried again. I was blown away. Prices are up food size is down! 6 inch chicken strip has been cut into 3 small pieces. Now you get 3 nuggets in the place of 6 inch chicken strips!! ? you got to be kidding me!!!!Workers are over charging. I order a combo meal $7.29 thay want 14 dollars and some change. I question it and th call me rude. ? I went to another restaurant. The new meaning of rude, not letting someone rip you off!

No root beer again, sat in line waiting on food for 8 mins.not busy and no one in front of us. Drive thru worker yelled at someone that she was going to lock the door. Nobody came to tell us the food was going to be longer.

Walked in w/my family to the female mgr yelling. After 5 min of waiting finally got to order. Waited over 20 min for our food which was over cooked..got 2 orders of onion rings instead of an order of fries..ordered a plain cheeseburger but got everything on it..ordered the sampler platter..all of it very greasy & overcooked..very hard to eat!

My daughter had a ball game in Carbondale and I was craving a diet root beer so we went through the drive through. Idk what was going on. I get food service is crazy right now so I was pretty understanding even though we were in the drive thru for almost 25 minutes. First we waited at the speaker to order, which I've worked fast food and I know things can hold up taking an order so it was no big deal. After I ordered my meal I was cut off with the total. Ok, That's fine, I just tell them I wasn't done. Cashier tells me I will have to finish the order at the window. Ok well I know that's going to take even longer, but it's fine my daughter wants cheese curds and a freeze, we can wait a little longer. Try to order regular curds but they're out, so she opts for the Sriracha curds. Unfortunately it wasn't a little bit longer that we were waiting though. I can't tell you the exact time because she said they didn't have receipts right now.As we're waiting I happen to see her get our drinks and they both come from the same fountain spigot. She hands me a float first. I let her know it was actually supposed to be a freeze, so she took it back and mixed it, easy fix. Great. Then I asked her if the other drink was diet. It wasn't but she was quick to try to fix it. Except no diet root beer ☹️. I'm disappointed especially since this was the entire reason we ended up eating here, but the world won't end. She tried to offer diet Pepsi or Tea but I can't stand either. I see the Diet Dr. Pepper label on the fountain, so I ask for that. No luck that's out too. So I settled for a root beer no ice to take home to my husband. We continue to wait and wait and wait some more. I hear her tell the cooks she needs that spicy papa first, which tells me they forgot to make it. Well I've waited this long at least she's on it and knows what I'm waiting for. She then hands me our bag and says " it has to be made fresh we can't have it sitting that's why it takes so long". ? Girl no it doesn't. I thought we were good. We were both polite, nobody was complaining, why lie to me? I know it doesn't take over 20 min to make a burger and 2 orders of cheese curds. I wasn't rude, I was waiting pretty patiently. I was nice, so don't insult me by acting like I'm too stupid to know y'all messed up. I know it happens, and we're human it's allowed but own up to it! That's the only thing I really got mad about! There were a few good points. I mean other than the lie at the end the cashier was nice, and she fixed what problems she could. The food was fresh and it did taste good, although they didn't make the correct sandwich. I ordered a spicy and this was regular, but thankfully I got some extra papa sauce. I can't say I wasn't let down by most of the experience though and honestly I doubt I'll ever go back to this location. Idk if anyone from the restaurant will see this review, but hopefully they do and it encourages them to do better.

Terrible customer serviceLegit started to argue with us because they couldnt hear our order and had a terrible attitude. All we were trying to get was 6 peices of chicken, then they misheard us and started giving us a bad attitude. Would not recommend, go to a different a&w

Terrible. Waited foreverrr for a raw burger. It was literally still pink and purplish and tasted awful. Smelled like raw ground beef. Could not finish it. Got my coney chili dog upside down in the container so all of the watery chili fell out. Customer service was terrible. The young lady working the drive through did not say a word to me although I kept thanking her. She opened the window, silently handed all of my stuff out, gave to explanation as to why the wait was so long then shut the window without saying anything.

Burger wasn't freshly made but the fries were ok and I appreciate the styrofoam cups over paper or plastic.

This place was awful, very rude. We have gone to Long John Silvers for over 20 years. Today's experience: Asked for baked fish--don't have any, Asked for french fries, don't have any. Asked why the receipt was not the same as the prices on the board and was told they changed the prices awhile back and did not update the board---are they gouging the customer for pocket money??? Asked for the fireman discount---as my husband was clearly in his fireman shirt and was told already rang the bill. Asked to talk to the manger, he came forward. Manager said this is it. He was asked to spell his name and this is what he said. THE MANAGER. How absolutely rude. The food had way too much salt in it and my coleslaw was mostly milk. It is too bad this is how Long John Silvers is represented. I miss the former manager that really cared about the food and service she provided.

I love A& W traditionally but I've been to this location a couple of times in the last couple days and was pretty disappointed. The first time they said they had to close the restaurant for 30 minutes to change the grease and the next day they said they were out of hamburger buns, but that I could still order long John silver's. Needless to say, I never got any of their food. Btw, this would have been during dinner hours (4:45 & 6)

The only reason your getting one star is because I can't leave a review without it. First off we set at the speaker for at least 5 minutes so I called to see if I could place an order and the boy said no and hung up in me. The girl at the window was VERY RUDE!!! What we ordered should have came with plenty of napkins but guess what NONE! You should be giving one napkin per item. No ROOT BEER!! Why do people even go to an A&W for the Root Beer, you should never be out. Good thing I'm not a mystery shopper!!!
