We’ve been here several times and if you’re vegetarian or vegan you may as well skip it! We always order the same thing: vegetarian fajitas. The first time we were served beans made with lard. After an extensive conversation with the manager, we finally imparted that lard is not vegetarian. They changed their vegetarian menu to be served with black beans that are not made with lard. Tonight, we ordered our usual and they came with chicken! We were very clear with the waitress that we are vegan and can have NO MEAT for health reasons. Halfway through our meal BOTH dishes were found to have chicken in them. We won’t be going back. We’ve given them enough chances and they clearly have cooks who are clueless and they’re not willing to educate them for the safety of their customers.

This is hands-down one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and full of authentic charm. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome—always friendly, attentive, and quick with refills.
The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish is bursting with fresh flavor, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The tacos were packed with tender, juicy meat, the enchiladas had just the right kick, and the guacamole tasted like it was made seconds before hitting the table.

I expected Authentic Mexican food and atmosphere. The food was definitely tex-mex and only ok. Service was ok, could have been better. I had to call the restaurant to place my to-go order the server was already told about and to get my check. It was around 4pm when I was there so there weren't other ppl there/here.

First time and the last time I will go to this restaurant. They claim and advertise to have the best tacos in the area. I can't attest to that. I ordered a shrimp cocktail. It was disgusting the shrimp was hard and overcooked. I spoke to management and he tried to make it right by not charging me and bringing me another one. It wasn't good. I was hungry (normally I would have ate it) unfortunately I was not able to eat it. The other people in my party were highly disappointed. I can't even describe what they ordered. It did not look like anything I've seen at a Mexican Restaurant. The service. I'd give it a negative 10. There was only one person on the floor. She was also the bartender. Upon waiting to be served (by anyone) a lady that works in the back attempted to take our drink order. She was not able to understand or speak English. I give her credit for trying. When our server finally took our order we were a bit frustrated. She looked overwhelmed. She apologized for the poor service and explained she was the only one working the floor and the bar. The manager was not helping. I only knew he was there because of my shrimp cocktail ordeal. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. Too bad everything else was lousy. When we got the check I was charged for the shrimp cocktail. I did get it removed from our check.

Food was cold when served. The burritos was lacking of any spice. Even the salsa was just paste out of a can. Nasty no flavor no spice. 👎 I will not waist money going back.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Carbondale. I've been here probably 20-30 times and have never been disappointed. Took my mom here for her birthday and she loved the Tres Leches. Will be back soon!
