I had delivery, the food was good but not crispy. I got fries instead of the mack and cheese I ordered and pumpkin pie instead of sweet potato pie.

My chicken & cornbread was burnt. The prices on the menu are not right. I could have went to Golden Coral for what we paid. My sweet potatoes were spicy. Don’t waste your money, they didn’t want to refund us. Don’t waste your money.

I love supporting black businesses, even when I feel like it's over price. I gave this place three tries and the food was disgusting all three times. I have never had sweet greens, salty dressing, way over cooked Mac and cheese, undercooked chicken, horrible super nacho on top of crunched up chips. I will never go back.

My husband and I ordered ahead online and showed up at the time given and we waited a solid 20 minutes for the food to be ready, but the overall experience was great, great service, super nice people, the food was here and there, chicken was good as well as the yams and the cabbage, but the macaroni and cheese made me shudder, my ancestors were mad that I picked up the fork to eat it. It was so liquidy, there were no seasonings, I'm not even kidding. But having a black owned place to go in town is awesome and I feel alot safer eating my food knowing a black woman was supervising .

I thought this was going to be a GUD soul food spot... I ordered the catfish platter. The fish was sooo damn salty I couldn't take more than 3 bites, mashed potatoes tasted like the instant mashed potatoes in a box, and cabbage tasted like it had no type of seasoning. The only thing that was good to me was the cornbread muffin and candied yams ? I was highly disappointed with my meal. Don't get me started on my friend meal ? I won't be back. Way over priced for a terrible meal. Save your dollas...

I have been very sick for the last 3 days after eating here!I'll just say...I would rather go have dinner at the Jackson county jail before I ever eat here again!!!

Catfish was good as well as the chicken. If you are getting some Mac and cheese for your kids warning it has a kick. Worth checking out!

Food is disgusting and the fee they charge for the oxtails is a rip off.they don't even give you servings worth and their fried chicken taste like someone just learning how to cook in old cooking oil....I wouldn't recommend this place for soul food. And for their appetizers shrimp and grits they didn't know if they had any. Just so disappointed ?...

Waited for over an hour, standing mind you, for our food. Staff was apologetic which was appreciated but after receiving our order the food was sub par. Will not be going back ever but this was my experience, yours may be better, I doubt it though.

Super taco was just unseasoned hamburger on flat bread I love chicken but couldn't stand the taste of their chicken no seasoning and tasted like it was cooked in old burnt grease even smothered in buffalo sauce I couldn't eat it worst experience ever...worst place I've ever eaten at.

I ordered fried chicken with mashed potatoes and collard greens. I was given 4 chicken wings that had no seasoning whatsoever. The mashed potatoes were the worst I’ve ever had. They tasted like wallpaper paste and the gravy was no more than a tablespoon. The collard greens were very good but the chicken and potatoes were so bad I can promise you I won’t be returning. Very sad experience!

Have to set this was a huge let down. Had wanted to try this place for quite a while but wished I had passed on it. The guy behind the counter was anything but helpful and didn't seem to care if I was there or not. Wanted to dine in but the table I was sitting at was filthy so I took my order home. I had ordered fried chicken with mashed potatoes with gravy and collard greens. The fried chicken was only 4 wings that had no seasoning at all, the mashed potatoes had a spoonful of gravy and the mashed potatoes were the worst ever! They were like wall paper paste. The collard greens were the only thing that was good and all this was over $17.00! I could have gone to Popeyes right down the street and got a better meal for much less! Won't be making this mistake again. Very sad!

We popped in for dinner and we really liked the freshness of the food. I had the broiled salmon and my husband had fried chicken and beef rib tips. The dining room could use some freshening up, however, the food was great. Excellent hosts. Would eat there again.

Friendly. Food was burnt black. Catfish was black on the bottom. Wings were very dark brown. Cornbread muffin was black on the bottom and very dark on the top. Mash potatoes tasted strange, spoilt. Cabbage was ok. Only canned drinks. The forgot the gravy for the potatoes and forgot my drink when serving but we're very friendly.
