Probably the best overall breakfast place in Carbondale though Mary loses close but a different atmosphere so they’re both great but I definitely recommend Harbaugh‘s. The staff is confident the plates look good when you get them they move fast. Service is good. the atmosphere is eclectic and comfortable.

I've been twice, the food is good but not fantastic. Once I had Ok service, today horrible service from waitress with blue eyeliner. During the week is less crowded, weekends are so busy busy. People waiting for a table are less than a foot from people dining by the door, meanwhile there's 2 empty 5-6 person tables the whole time we dined on a busy Saturday.

We stopped in for breakfast Saturday, Oct. 18th. There was a bit of a wait for a table, but it wasn't too bad. The server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The breakfast burrito was good but the tomato salsa was a bit to acidic. The other dishes we got were all very tasty. The prices were slightly higher than I expected, but overall was a good value for the quality. The next time we are in Carbondale, we'll most likely go back.

Looking for breakfast and lunch on the strip.. look no further. Five stars for atmosphere because everything is different inside of the restaurant. From the tables to the mugs, possibly even the plates that you're eating on everything is different and it's extremely unique..
Was there for breakfast and the food was great. Can't recommend the ranch potatoes anymore to anyone. It's a must if you're eating here.

Whoah… this place was amazing, no seriously. I went there last weekend, 8/23/25. I went to school here at SIU-C from 2005-2007 and never went there to eat while in college. I tell you what …I highly regret it. This was hands down the best breakfast I have ever had.
My waitress was awesome, I believe her name was Lisa. She had a great attitude, very nice, and resourceful, she answered all my questions and recommends a meal for me after describing what I wanted to eat. I ordered oatmeal that came with brown sugar and raisins, cooked perfectly… not too runny… not too dry. The eggs were fresh, pancakes were really fluffy, and the breakfast ham was cooked perfectly.. so rich in flavor. This is a must try if you are in the Carbondale, IL area. I will most def be back!! ☀️👏🫡

First off we stopped in this town on our way through to Kansas City and so glad we stopped here! Everyone was great! The atmosphere in here was amazing and the food was awesome too! Had the corned beef hash with scrambled eggs and it was amazing!!

Updated: due to a terrible experience this is no longer a favorite and we will not be returning. Always a favorite breakfast spot. Food is consistently good, wait staff are quick and friendly and decor is charming.

After frequenting this restaurant for 20 years, today's experience has soured me on ever returning. Management being rude and unprofessional, sighing, loudly complaining about us asking for our order to be made correctly. Poor staff will lose customers every time. This manager was beyond rude.
