Stopped here while staying overnight in Carbondale. Loved the setting & friendly staff. Did a wine tasting & decided we loved Don’s Estate Dry White Vignoles. Took a bottle with us & enjoyed later on the patio at the Home2 Suites in Springfield. Wish you weren’t so far from our home in Des Moines Iowa.
Our stop here was quick because we arrived less than an hour before closing. It seems like a small operation. They didn't have wine fights but they did have guided tasting. The person who helped us was very friendly and knowledgeable and helped us find a wine we really liked. It's a bit out of the way compared to some of the other wineries but not bad. It's worth a stop if you have time.
Honker Hill Winery is a true gem! The atmosphere is welcoming, with beautiful views and a relaxing vibe. The wine is fantastic & Loved the live music. Whether you're there for a casual afternoon or a special event, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend!
