Wonderful experience! We just came in for a quick tasting before closing with our 6 month old in tow and the owner was so kind.

We happen onto this winery this weekend! What a pleasant surprise! The winery is spectacular the vineyard is beautiful! This will be a definite go to on our many visits down to our beloved Southern Illinois!!! Thank you!!
We met David and his family at a Red Rose Ball in Marion. They were such an inspirational family. Upon meeting them we felt so blessed. On occasion we have stopped at their winery and enjoyed purchasing a few bottles of the best tasting wines of our area. When entering the doors , until departure , you will feel you are in the comfort of your home. Fabulous wines as well as hospitality!

Monte Alegre Vineyard/Cellars is a quaint and cozy winery with a family-owned atmosphere. The wines, such as Chambourcin and Fond de Cave, are delicious. David, the owner, has some of the best wines in the area. His hospitality and graciousness makes it worth a trip. The vineyard offers a lovely view, country scenery, and romantic setting. It is a spectacular winery with a beautiful vineyard.
