Went for my sister's graduation and the food was excellent as was the wait staff. Everyone got either prime rib (so good) or the filet. Not a huge by the glass wine selection but it was all good.

We found this restaurant while staying at Giant City State lodge. Good food, service and atmosphere. I had the salmon, mashed potatoes and asparagus. All well prepared and satisfying. In all fairness, I didn't think this restaurant was that upscale.

Love the atmosphere of Grotto which is in the lower level of Newell House. They even have a private event room located in Grotto. Food is good, Music and all around feel is great... Planning to have an event in the near future...

As a local, I am sad to say this was my first time visiting this phenomenal restaurant. Newell House is simply amazing. The environment is inviting, the steak was perfect, the frites were the best I've ever had and the staff was courteous. My husband and I will be back again.

The restaurant has amazing food with a really cozy atmosphere. They also have downstairs the Grotto with a full bar, music and cozy atmosphere. Would recommend.

This was a wonderful visit! The food was outstanding, the ambiance inviting, and our server Jim was friendly and very helpful. Parking was relatively easy, but it was a Tuesday night - YMMV on the weekend. My only concern was the booth in which we sat - the table was very close to the bench on which I sat, and the table was not movable. We will be back to try some of the other temptations on the menu, but I can recommend the crab cakes already.
On 5/4/18 we had my son's wedding rehearsal dinner here. Our experience was exceptional! The room was immaculate and very attractively setup. The food was deliciously and expertly prepared: grilled chicken, delicious sirloin in a wine reduction sauce (I dream about the sirloin-it was awesome!), parmesean mashed potatoes, green beans, sweet baby carrots, extremely fresh salad, and the chef even made an amazing homemade banana pudding at my son's request! They were very accommodating and made sure all our requests were met down to the last detail. I was hesitant to have a buffet type meal instead of everyone ordering off the menu, however my fears were put to rest the minute we arrived and were met with the hospitality and kindness of the servers and management. The servers treated us more like friends and family than customers. They were very fast in bringing everyone's drink orders, and answering all our questions. Needless to say, we were very well taken care of and made to feel welcomed. They gave us a very memorable dining experience that we will always be grateful for. Thank you to all the talented cooks, servers, staff, and management at the Newell House! You helped start our wedding weekend in the most incredible way!

Charged me $30 for the WORST scallops ive ever had. 3 Burnt and slimy scallops. Ive made them better at home for half the price. They were not sanitary, to the point where when we looked online their sanitation level was poor. Absolutely terrible, will not recommend.

Fantastic upscale atmosphere, delicious food and kind staff culminate into an excellent, romantic place to catch a dinner. With a wide array of Italian inspired steakhouse cuisine. All in all exactly what what one can expect from a establishment encouraging fine dining. The price isn't cheap but the food is what you pay for. Delicious, upscale, and worth every penny.
