Abysmal service and astounding lack of professionalism by management.
Food is sub-par. I went in to try it after all this fb drama and its definitely not amazing! Owners sister is a nightmare! I'm sure she will love my review don't waste your money here!
the owner is a bully. she has mutlipe charges for theft she thinks she can bully people.into suicide!!
the owner tells people to off themselves on the same post where she promotes her business. would never patronize an establishment with that level of unprofessional behavior in public forums.
Sometimes the food is great. Sometimes it is awful. There is no in between. The deciding factor for me is the attitude of the owner and lack of professionalism. we won't be back.
Tried to come here twice. The first time, we waited for 15 minutes to be seated, even though we were the only ones in the restaurant AND it was 5:30pm on a Saturday. We were then told that the seafood boil they'd been advertising for that day and time was not available. We came back 2 weeks later under the same situation (6pm on a saturday, only customers in the building) and recieved even worse service; we waited 20+ minutes to be seated. The food took over an hour to be served, and there were bites taken from one of our party's food. We raised this issue to the staff who immediately became combative. I spoke to the manager on the phone and she berated me for causing a scene and explained that we would still have to pay full price for our meals, even though we did not eat them. I have no clue how this place is still open. IDPH report was filed.

Busted windows, the staff wasn’t friendly, they took over an hour to complete a carry out order, and messed up the order twice. The food was terrible, soggy, and poor quality. The drinks had no ice and the prices were way too high for the food and service. We watched several people try to order and they were out of most items. How do they even stay in business?

Ordered a seafood boil, which is normally really good. Once I got there they claimed to have canceled my order and said it should reflect on my app. The order was still active, and the money had been taken out of my account. The worker said her manager cancelled it, while seeming annoyed I was even there to pick up my order. When I showed her the order was still active on DoorDash, she called her manager and told me I needed to cancel the order. Some people came in and she went to wait on them. I stood there for about ten minutes trying to connect to a live agent to cancel the order. The server never came back over to check in and the cook poked his head out to see what was going on. He made eye contact, rolled his eyes, went back into the kitchen, and started badmouthing us, as if we were the problem. I simply placed an order, waited for an alert it was done, and went to pick it up. I understand they weren't doing seafood boils. That happens in restaurants. What I don't understand is why I was never contacted about the cancellation, why I was made to be the one to physically contact someone to cancel it, and why the staff acted as if I was a issue. The online menu, DoorDash, and Seamless never indicated they weren't serving seafood today, they took my money, and never attempted to cancel it or contact me; yet when I showed up unaware, it was a burden. I was polite and didn't fight or even get upset. As I stated, I understood the reason for not having the boil. I don’t like to make any staffs shift harder, especially over things out of their control. I was kind, and I did not receive the same treatment. I had been ordering since they open, because the food was good, but I don't believe I will be back. Good food isn’t the only quality that makes a great restaurant, and this one seems to lack someof the important ones.

Food is ok, depending on who's working. Sanitation and proper food handling are sub-par. Overall, this place receives a D- from me. The owners are nice but lack professionalism. The business it's self could be extremely successful, with a great location, however they have a lot of work to do to get there.

Ordered the Foul chicken sandwich, cheese was added, not ordered. Fries came with the meal. Server said she would reorder the sandwich. Returned later with a new sandwich, no fries. I guess I was to eat the cold fries from the previous order. Tried to bite into the new sandwich, couldn't because it was hard and tough. Addressed it with the server who said she couldn't cancel the order but perhaps the owner or manager? would give me a 30% discount. How generous for something I couldn't eat. Although I spent less than $20, it was the principle. I refused to make a scene and found it very poor business practice to not cancel an order that was inedible.
Fortunately I don't live in Carbondale and don't expect to visit again. Even if I unfortunately come thru again, I definitely won't eat at This&That ever again.
Incidentally, others with me ordered other items and were mostly satisfied. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very inviting.
Unfortunately, that awful chicken sandwich cast a dark shadow over all the positives for me.

Food was good! I had the fish and chicken meal. Mac and cheese was decent, green beans was fire too. I ordered some sweet potatoes that I didn’t end up getting, I ain’t trippin tho. I’m sure they’re 🔥 too . Overall I definitely recommend. Oh yeah, the mild sauce was very good as well!
I read up on this restaurant and was excited to try the Sunday brunch. All signs on door and internet says open 10;30AM. We arrived at 10:45 and it’s locked up and dark. The biggest seller for a restaurant is consistency. Well oops.
Food had a bite taken out of it when we got it. Sticky tables. Terrible service. Waited an hour for food.
