Yamato Steak House Of Japan

I used to love ordering Yamato. But i’ve seen a decline in quality after new ownership. I hope they take some advice from the previous owners. Otherwise I don’t think i’ll be a regular customer.

I went during the lunch time and ordered the beef fried rice and added lo mein noodles instead of veggies. I was $1 short and I tried to tell her to just remove an item and she said that it was okay. I thought that was very sweet, I just did not want to run back to the car for $1. I really appreciated that. Food was amazing, I will return soon.

A very delicious restaurant. I'd say the only weak point is the fried rice,not bad at all, just compared to other places, but literally everything else was amazing.

Even the free miso soup was yummy.
Chicken Katsu was crunchy and juicy, steak hibachi was perfect, even devoured the salad.

If you like Japanese food, you will love this place.

They've revamped their menu and it's really good! The band band roll is fantastic. Best ramen I've had outside of Norman.

Not as good as anticipated. Still yummy. I enjoyed what I had, but what wasnt sushi-esque was justcok. But for the price and quality, would not go back most likely.

Food is amazing. Service was a tad slow and she had to come back and ask several times what we ordered because she doesn't have very good communication skills in English.. not complaining but be aware that there could be a language barrier

This was a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was relaxing, the food was tasty and in large portions (I especially liked the Takoyaki), and the service was excellent.

I had a friend recommend this place, we've been back twice so far and we love it. Highly recommend! Great experience for a reasonable price.

First time trying Yamato in Carbondale today and it did not disappoint! They have updated the menu and are bringing something super cool and of quality to Carbondale! The owners are the sweetest people and really care about their product, and are always looking to make it better. And can you believe the new owner is only 24 years old??? Service was also great!Make sure to support this small owned business because it deserves it. Pictured are their Milk Tea, and Passion Fruit Tea, Chicken Yakisoba, and the “Lovers Boat”.

Excellent experience! The sushi was awesome. We enjoyed dinner so much, we came back to take out bento boxes for lunch the next day. Fresh ingredients, stunning presentation, wonderful staff!
