This little gem in the small town of Carmi, IL was outstanding. The food was excellent with good portions, the prices were reasonable, our waitress couldn't have done a better job, and the service was quick. My husband even joked that our food was served so quickly that you would have thought we called our order in. The Coffee Shop was recommended by a friend who lives in Carmi and his recommendation was spot on. I would definitely return if we're ever in the area...
Everything I have tried here has been delicious. Highly recommend this place for anytime you are hungry. I have not tried everything, so I will be returning to try it all. Atmosphere and service are impeccable.
On our way to Garden of the Gods from Indiana, we stopped by Carmi for food. I initially thought this place was just a run of the mill coffee shop, but I was surprised to find that this was a full blown restaurant. Not only was it a full blown restaurant, it was a dang good one too. The waitress was an absolute sweetheart. Prices were great too. Only costed me $30 plus tip to feed a group of three. And I gave them a Ulysses S. Grant because the service was phenomenal. I haven’t...
