Nothing like ordering something and telling them you don't want something on your food and they still put it within your food i asked for no shrimp, no guacamole, no cheese, dip, no beans and light lettuce, and I come home to eat my food and I find shrimp in it. And this ain't the first time that they've messed up my food

Usually service is pretty good. Waitress got the two girls plates completely wrong! My friends G.daughter's a hamburger without cheese and fries. Lol I don't understand how they ALWAYS get that wrong, plus it's always burned. My friend got a cheeseburger with three toppings lol completely wrong plus she got fries and didn't ask for them. If girl could speak more English maybe she could have got it right. And my elderly friend whom took us out for lunch, got like polo ranchero or something... second time ordering it,,..I don't think we will be going back there for awhile. My older friend sauce on her plate was not fit to eat. Yuck. Which again she didn't eat it. Aaaand old lady,,.. probably Grandma or Momma at cash register didn't ask how my meal was or even knock off some bc of all the crap we had to deal with and still get bad food on one plate.. which to me is just BAD BUSINESS! And technically this restaurant is way worse than other Mexican restaurant in Carmi IL. Tequila's is and was a really good restaurant...damn. Not cuz of Mr Jalapeno lolol sorry Grandma if you had took off some total off bill would have been freaking awesome since it would have been Better Business especially in tiny town of Carmi ButtCrack IL

Food is well prepared,seasoned and tasteful. Service time was a bit long just after lunch although they keep checking on how the meal was and keeping glasses filled. The atmosphere was very festive and spacious for up to big parties.

The item I ordered was not what I thought it was going to be. The staff was rude about the fact that I didn't want it. I offered to pay for it and they said no. And at no point did they ask if I wanted anything else to eat. So I got to watch my family eat for lunch. I am very very disappointed. I will not return to this establishment. Ordered our food and drinks.. asked for queso cheese for our chips almost never got them took asking 3 different people .. got our food before our queso, then asked for 2 glasses of water before we left never received them after waiting for 45 minutes for the water we decided to leave.. then get charged for 3 drinks when we only ordered 2 and got charged for 2 queso cheese when we only got 1 .. got home and the wife ended up getting the screaming shits for the night

Ordered out for myself my husband and my niece they got all of our orders wrong The dish that I got it looked like they had to put a full onion on it My husband's steak was completely red in the middle My niece did not want me onions or peppers and they put it look like multiple handfuls on it The only thing they actually got right was the spinach dip it seems like every time we go there now all they do is get everything wrong and considering there was no one there there is no reason why there should be messing up orders constantly!

One of the best places in town to get dinner. Food and drinks are priced very reasonably. Portion sizes are pretty big, especially the jumbo burrito. It was like nothing I had ever seen. It could have easily fed the whole table. I got the fajita burrito, which was much more reasonably sized.
Parking: The lot is a little awkward, and I could see it filling up quickly during peak hours. However, I went there twice, and there was plenty of parking.
Just got lunch for my husbands birthday there sent over $50 dollars just to get it home and nothing was right the whole order was not what we asked for will not be going there anymore And calling them doesn't seem to do anything as we have before and all we got was being very rude to

I have worked in Carmi since June of last year. Everyone kept telling me to try Mr. Jalapeño.
VERY disappointed. Not much taste to the salsa. Chips were stale. I ordered a chicken fajita quesadilla. Not much to get wrong there, but they somehow managed to do so. Not much chicken in it. Could definitely have passed as a veggie quesadilla. Only bright spot was the staff was friendly.
