We have always enjoyed VT but this was poorly managed. We came in on a Wednesday and ask to sit at a booth. The booth they sat us at was right next to a party they had going on. And people were standing right at the edge of the booth and was extremely loud. Why they didn't put the party separated in the empty section by the bar would be more appropriate. It seems they were over the limit on the one side. So we asked to move to a booth that was empty. They said we couldn't...
So, we’ve known about this place for a while and decided to finally try it out. We were seated quickly but then waited about ten minutes for our server. We ordered drinks and our entrees together but then we received our soup/salad , then our entrees before we ever got our drinks. They finally arrived and our food was generally okay. The chicken tenders were good but the jambalaya was just okay. It tasted like it might have been in a warmer all day.

We are from out of town and Village Tavern was recommended to us. We were told to try their chicken tenders and we did. All we can say is AMAZING. Perfectly breaded with an absolutely delicious honey mustard sauce. Sweet potato fries were delicious as well as the breaded cod fish. Yes, they were so good, we went two nights in a row. Bartenders Jess and Kristine were amazing and the manager on duty ( feel bad we never got her name) was an absolute pleasure to speak with both nights....
