Ruthie's Steak & Seafood

It is not often i give anything a 5 put of 5 score but Ruthies earned every star. The food was incredible and the service outstanding. The price is a little steep but for this level of dining experience about in line with others

Our dinner was excellent. We were staying for a long weekend and dined at Ruthie's the night before. Our second dinner there was equally high quality and the service (Blake) was outstanding.

This was the second time I ate at Ruthie‘s. The first time our steaks were excellent, this time I ordered the same cut of steak that I ordered last time, but my steak was very tough. After I had already eaten half of the steak they had ask if everything was OK I did let them know that the steak was tough. They did offer to prepare me a new one, but at that point I was finished eating. I should've let them know at the very beginning that the steak was tough and I would like to have another one prepared. Hopefully my next visit will be like my first.

Went to Ruthie's on Thursday evening. We got crab cakes for appetizers. Best crab cake I've ever encountered. I got the 10oz sirloin with broccolini. Superb. The steak was tender and had a marinade, that made the taste rich and light at the same time. Broccolini was the perfect side. Also, had a black cherry mojito that I will have dreams about. Overall fantastic service. Waitress was wonderful. I will be back and will recommend to everyone I see!

Our server Blake was polite and attentive. The food was freshly prepared and arrived in a timely fashion. The prime rib was very tender and flavorful. We had avoided going there because we feared it was to formal. There were actually several people in Jeans and Tennis shoes. So it also plays host to a casually dressed crowd as well. We will definitely be back again soon.

The medallions entree was perfectly cooked. The accompaniments were a bit too salty. Skip the shrimp cocktail appetizer. It's served on a bed of ice that clings too each prawn and the cocktail sauce was nothing special. Overall, price was good, will probably eat there again.

We both ordered the steak medallions and shrimp dish. Perfectly cooked and delicious. Also both had the Caesar salad, also very good. Service was spot on, ambience was lovely, and sounds were muted, a pleasure not found in many restaurants these days.

Waiter and management caused for a very bad experience at the restaurant. Will not return.

My first time visiting Ruthie's and I certainly was pleased! The ambiance was intimate and classy. Our service was impeccable. Our waitress was knowledgeable, personable and friendly. The food was amazing! My friend and I had the filet medallions with shrimp , a wedge salad and a bottle of wine. We definitely will be returning!

Everything was beautiful! The food was top notch and very flavorful. The best steak and lobster tail hands down!

We went there for a family dinner to celebrate a graduation for a local University. The food was exceptional and I would put it against the top steakhouses in Chicago. The restaurant ambience was perfect and the manager Ernest went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. Sammie was server and she was excellent. We thought this would be our last visit to Carbondale but we have to come back!

Four of us enjoyed a wonderful dinner. We had steak, fish, chicken and pasta. Each was great. Excellent service as usual.

Another excellent dinner at Ruthie's! Filet, Ribeye and Shrimp Cocktail were great as usual. Austin is a great addition to the staff, best server we've ever had!

Our meal was excellent. Our only complaint is my wife has certain food intolerances, and our waitress could've been more diligent in helping her navigate the menu to avoid those products. Otherwise a great experience.

We always enjoy Ruthie's. Great atmosphere, delicious food, and very friendly service. Our server, Blake, was great! He made sure everything was perfect including my surprise birthday dessert. We will definitely be back again soon.
