As has been our habit for 17(!) years, we took a full day on a Saturday and visited a batch of Illinois Wineries in the same part of the state. Lake Hill was number 3 of 5 last Saturday . . . a return visit, since we'd last been there in 2014.
We arrived early afternoon and nearly had the place to ourselves. Rachel (one of the owners) was tending bar, and helped us through the samples. The wines were wonderful, but were not as good as the company. (And that's NOT a slam...read full review
