Cool and hipster-trendy-aternative-eclectic style. Not great for just sitting down with a cup of coffee to get work done though. No good work space and too noisy. Seems like a great hang-out place and lots of great food options.

Rail is the epitome of community first. I love that they are very innovative by changing their menu frequently while still keeping amazing quality.
Dietary restrictions: They will do their absolute best to accommodate your dietary restrictions. I, for instance, don’t drink caffeine.. so their girls always recommend something to try that is decaf! I’m very grateful for that because I feel accommodated.

Rail is definitely my favorite place to get a bite to eat for lunch. I’ve been on a boba kick lately and they have some yummy flavors to add to drinks! Their menu is unique just like their whole vibe. I could go on about the service, which is always wonderful, and the atmosphere as well as the music is so inviting and makes me feel at home every time I come in!

Stopped in while driving from SC to MO, it was a little off the highway but WORTH it! They have a small selection of sandwiches, the two we had was delicious! The atmosphere was super cute and they had a small area of handmade crafts. I really love this place and if it wasn't 4 hours away, I would be a regular.

I moved to St. Louis and I still look forward to getting one of my usual favorites from Rail when I'm in town.
The staff are always open to crafting a drink that you'll like, or explaining the seasonal drinks if you're unfamiliar with a product. During the many times I frequented the place, I watched the staff smile through rude customers (some of which I'm sure are behind the lower star reviews), and go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The owners are phenomenal, and they truly give back to the community in so many ways.
TL;DR: If you're ever in Centralia and in need of coffee, a refreshing beverage, or quick and comfy food, visit!
FYI: It's also great for fans of anything Halloween-related. They even have their own Monster Crawl.
Kid-friendliness: My brother is very specific about how he likes his mocha flavored items, and the staff worked to customize a drink that he loved!

I have been to RAIL for different events as well as during their open hours. I love the weekly "specials" and their staff is always friendly. I could go in and get a cup of coffee and leave or stay for hours working on a project or talking with friends as the atmosphere is great for all.

Been to RAIL Coffee Room in downtown Centralia, Illinois several times. Very nice place to visit. Great coffee. Try the bottomless drip coffee or even a hot vanilla latte or a frappe.
Food is great too. They offer a nice variety of food and even switch it up almost every season.
I've also brought my laptop in and did my work on WordPress articles and web design. Super solid wifi. If you forgot your headphones, the music is great too.
Lastly, don't forget to take a walk through and see all the decor.
