I went to this restaurant with two Mandarin-speaking friends for lunch today, and the food was outstanding. We ordered a large mung bean noodle salad with pork and various fresh vegetables with two sauces, one a sesame-based sauce and the other a strong mustard. I must say that this was one of the most wonderful dishes I have ever eaten. The other main dish was braised pork knuckle, and the flavor and texture were perfect. The pork was incredibly tender. Both dishes exceeded my expectations. Also, I did not witness any of the bad service described in the reviews, so perhaps I came at the right time of day. There were hardly any other people in the restaurant when my friends and I visited.
Have been visiting this restaurant for the five years I am here. Food is fantastic! It is authentic Northern Chinese food. For the ones who complained about the food, nope it is not Americanized, but I am sure there will be some dishes you could enjoy, like dumplings. For the ones who complained about the owner's attitude/ service, I would like to bring up the fact that her Northern Chinese accent in her English and also the fact that she talks fast might be the reasons you feel like she is being rude. She is actually quite nice to talk to.

I was so shook at how rude and aggressive the owner was. 30 minutes after ordering my takeout, I asked one waitress how much longer it'd take and the owner just stepped up to me and literally yelled at me for asking. "Don't you see our waitresses are busy ??" Well excuse you??? It's not my fault your restaurant is doing a crappy job. HOLY S*** this place offers the WORSE F**king service you could find on this campus.My mom never even yells at me as aggressively as this owner does. Would ONLY recommend for a HALLOWEEN HORROR EXPERIENCE thank you very much.

Ridiculously, many people who gave 1-star-ratings basically never ate authentic Chinese food before. I cannot believe that there are people complaining that their fried rice was not brown. Authentic fried rice ought not be brown. If your fried rice is brown, it means the cook put too much soy sauce.
