As a vegan, there are limited options. But the options they do offer are excellent in quality and freshness. I highly recommend the veg lo mein. I always request that they add tofu. Delish! I also love their crispy tofu - you will find it in the appetizer section. Make it a large and order a side of rice and you have an entree. They have plenty of veggie dishes, all of high quality. What I would love to see is for them to offer a vegan eggplant dish, orange tofu, and also maybe, if they really want to stand out from other area Chinese restaurants, introduce seitan "meat" where they can use that to substitute for the real meat in their meat based entrees, just as long as the sauces are vegan. Lastly, their prices are very reasonable and portion sizes are generous.

Good service, I got the orange chicken and chicken fried rice for $10, 5/5 for the price service was great and food was only 15 minute wait. All in all, I would recommend and will be returning.

Nothing special, but I thought the food was a little better than your average Chinese takeout. The lunch special is a really good deal.

Regular customer, ordering same dishes every time, today they cooked the dish waaay too spicy — kindly requested to exchange, but they denied. This was the last time ordering at Green Jade. Do not recommend.

Quick and easy ordering on the phone for takeout. Szechuan chicken was especially good and came with 5 different vegetables, a good value.

By far the worst chinese food i have ever had in my life. Terrible service (seriously… the worst service ever. The woman at the front counter was so rude), bland food, shrimp with 5 pounds of breading. We had it “for here” and the woman gave us literally just the food. No utensils, no napkins, no plates, no water. Do not go here. Horrendous experience that ruined my night.

We ate inside, but had to eat out of our to go containers. The food was good. I think they just expected us to eat elsewhere.

I was not happy with the food I ordered. The tofu with vegetable meal was drenched in sauce. Most of the meal was sauce. The sauce itself was very salty, and I did not like it. On a positive note the tofu was cooked well.

I just had some of the worst Chinese takeout in my entire life from Green Jade. I did a Google search for Chinese restaurants, and this restaurant came up as a finalist in the best Chinese Restaurant category for Champaign-Urbana. My sister and I each got an order of Szechuan Chicken and we ordered 2 appetizers: Vegetable Egg Rolls and Crab Rangoon to share. The chicken in both orders of Szechuan Chicken was simply strips of chicken skin - there was absolutely no chicken meat. I understand that restaurants are trying to save money, but this is ridiculous. I’ve never had Szechuan Chicken made with just chicken skin.My sister and I both felt that the meat was inedible. Perhaps some people would like just to have chicken skin; perhaps this is even more authentic to Chinese cuisine, but I’ve never encountered the dish prepared this way in any of the many Chinese restaurants I’ve been to all over the United States. The vegetables accompanying the chicken skins were OK, but we had to fish out the inedible pieces of skin. In addition, both the crab rangoon and and the eggrolls were over cooked or had been under a heat lamp for far too long. Even some of the packages of condiments looked spoiled. I hope that they were just having an off day at the Green Jade today, but unfortunately, it was so bad that neither my sister or I will give them a second chance.
