The Hen House is a really good Restaurant to go eat at in Mahomet. The service is really good, the is really good, and the atmosphere is really nice you feel like you are at home the stuff is really nice I would recommend it if you are coming through or visit someone.
They daily specials, nice friendly staff, pies great, food was hot and fairly fast to get to the table. It wasn't super busy there were maybe a dozen. People there. Here is an update my husband and I stopped today for lunch we got there about 1:15 we ordered I got the bacon cheese burger and onion rings they were outstanding, he got the Philly steak and cheese with French fries he said very good had a lot of flavor. If you are traveling through smaller towns in IL, you will see this chain of family restaurants. They are very popular with locals and travelers alike. This one had private booths and individual tables, as well as a long center table where people can easily mix and meet new people. It was absolutely slammed with customers when we were there. The staff was very friendly and conversational. And the food was good.
