Really good food in an authentic atmosphere. The Italian beef is the best I've ever had, and I've had a lot of Italian beef.

I love Manzella's. Simple, tasty pasta dishes and some of the best pizza in the area. The old school vibe feels very urban and charming.

Used to come here years ago and the service and food are still wonderful. The only thing missing were the candles on the tables.

I’ve been coming to the Italian Patio since I was a kid. I loved it when Frank would give me a balloon on my birthday! I love the atmosphere, the staff is always friendly, and most importantly the food is delicious!

The food was decent but the service was terrible. My wife and I went for lunch on a Friday. When we were seated, there were five other tables occupied so it was not busy at all. I would guess three of those tables already had their food so things were slow when we were seated. We got our drinks and placed our orders so things started out well but went downhill from there. As we sat there talking and waiting for our salads, we never saw the waiter come back to our area to check on us or any of the other tables. After a while our entrees arrived! My wife asked if we could get our salads and the waiter said 'Oh, I forgot. That's my mistake'. Then what he said next was surprising and a little shocking. He said 'You could have asked me about getting your salads and I would have brought them out'. Well, that is true but he never came out to the floor so that we could ask about the salads. So, the fact that he forgot apparently was our fault because we never asked about the salads!! When the waiter brought our check, he asked if we needed boxes for our leftovers. We said we would like boxes. Then we waited ... The boxes never arrived so I went to the three ladies who had been huddled around the cash register talking the whole time we were there and asked if I could have two boxes for our leftovers. One woman replied with 'Boxes?'. I had to explain I needed boxes to take our leftovers home in. Then the waiter comes out of the kitchen and he said that he would get them. I went back to our table and five minutes later, he came with the boxes. It took five minutes to bring two styrofoam boxes to our table. The food was OK but because of the service and the overall mood of this place, we will not go back. Yes, we try to support locally owned restaurants as much as we can but this experience is becoming way too common. I am assuming with this place, previous generations worked hard to serve good food with great service to build a reputation but as the business gets passed along to the next generations, the amount of effort just isn't there and the restaurant basically survives on it's reputation. Unfortunately, this is a business plan for a short-lived business.

I'm from out of town. The drinks are served ice cold. The pizza crust was perfect. The waitress was informative with specials for night.

Long time Italian place with great food and personable servers. The pizza is amongst the best in the area and their other entrees are all excellent. One of C-U's "hidden gems."Parking: Small, free parking lot behind the building and some metered street parking close nearby.

We went to Manzella's Italian Patio this evening to have dinner for Eric's(my husband) birthday. I forgot my purse on the chair beside me. I noticed the moment we pulled into our driveway. I called Manzella's, which had already closed, I prepared for the worst, which really was just that I'd have no purse until Friday. The owner answered the phone, after hours, and I told her what I'd done. She said, "My daughter found it and she's on her way to your house right now." WHAT? HOW AMAZING IS THAT!!!?? Their daughter's name is Angelina and she was the ABSOLUTE sweetest! She explained to me that there was no way she could let me worry about it until Friday. That is the most amazing customer service I've ever had! ❤️ Also, the food and service were sooooo good! We will absolutely be making this our new Champaign restaurant to eat at! #familyowned #familyownedrestaurant #manzellasitalianpatio #smallbusiness #bestservice
