Great place to grab a bite from campus or the hospital. Try the Murphy's Lemonade and the burger with the corned beef! Would recommend!

Despite being an Irish pub, this place seems to operate more like your typical American bar. Won't find a whole lot of Irish tunes playing on the speakers in here; although perhaps that may be because they have a jukebox here. Not sure if live Irish bands are hosted here either.
They do have a local Irish Red though, and I enjoyed that quite a bit. The food was quite good too.

Good food but it's a bit expensive. Every Monday it's half-off on burgers, but they don't specify which burgers on the menu. I ordered a pork burger thing that was good, but it wasn't half-off. Next week, I ended up getting half-off on the black bean burger. Next time I ended up ordering it though, they charged me full price and told me I got lucky last time. Basically, if you can't eat beef, don't expect much.

Tried this place out during a busy weekend and was verbally assaulted by the staff and then egged on to start a fight. Clown town. None of us will ever step foot in this place again.

Great drinks! Highly recco the Girl Scout cookie shot (Bailey’s, mint liquor, and vodka). Best shot I have EVER had.
Service provided to the customers could use some work. Post iConverge, a few of the grad students gathered there. We weren’t being belligerent or rude. Some young blonde dude was working the night I was there (the evening of 9/11). He was super dismissive and rude. I asked to purchase a tee and he asked if I could wait until closing. He clearly wasn’t busy. He just didn’t want to do the work. I then asked if they were selling food. He then replied “the kitchen closed at 12am!”
I’m sorry, umm was I supposed to know that, as an out of towner?
The staff needs to be trained to communicate and serve professionals over the age of 30+ (or humans, in general) way better. We’re not some annoying, drunk, college aged kids that are being ignorant and rude. I expect to be treated with respect, if I’m treating you with respect.
That is all.

My friend and I accidentally broke a glass on the floor I’m so sorry
Murphy's is a UIUC mainstay. The bar has a set of deeply carved wooden benches that remain from the depths of time that many a student has sat at.

Get a burger. Do it!
A single cheeseburger is great, a double is a bit much, but good if you are hungry. Burgers and fries are made to order and are always awesome. The fries have a very light breading on them (lighter than waffle fries) and they are very crispy.
They are relatively quick for lunch, especially during the summer.
Really good price for a bacon cheeseburger and fries.
