Great drinks! Highly recco the Girl Scout cookie shot (Bailey’s, mint liquor, and vodka). Best shot I have EVER had.
Service provided to the customers could use some work. Post iConverge, a few of the grad students gathered there. We weren’t being belligerent or rude. Some young blonde dude was working the night I was there (the evening of 9/11). He was super dismissive and rude. I asked to purchase a tee and he asked if I could wait until closing. He clearly wasn’t busy. He just didn’t want to do the work. I then asked if they were selling food. He then replied “the kitchen closed at 12am!”
I’m sorry, umm was I supposed to know that, as an out of towner?
The staff needs to be trained to communicate and serve professionals over the age of 30+ (or humans, in general) way better. We’re not some annoying, drunk, college aged kids that are being ignorant and rude. I expect to be treated with respect, if I’m treating you with respect.
That is all.

My friend and I accidentally broke a glass on the floor I’m so sorry
Murphy's is a UIUC mainstay. The bar has a set of deeply carved wooden benches that remain from the depths of time that many a student has sat at.

Get a burger. Do it!
A single cheeseburger is great, a double is a bit much, but good if you are hungry. Burgers and fries are made to order and are always awesome. The fries have a very light breading on them (lighter than waffle fries) and they are very crispy.
They are relatively quick for lunch, especially during the summer.
Really good price for a bacon cheeseburger and fries.

Rude staff. Zero sense of hygiene. Smelled like a wet towel that’s been sitting there for a few seasons.

Bartenders complained about making the drinks and were rude, wasn’t busy no need to have an attitude about making drinks…. It’s a bar.

Nacho Fries were good. However, customer service was horrible. The lady with the green hair, square black glasses, and name tag “T” was not only extremely rude but also talked down to us. We tried to ask a clarifying question about a food item and she not only did not answer our question, called us “wasteful”, but also had a very judgmental tone and talked down to us like we were stupid. We have experience working in customer service and recognize that she was working at a busy hour so we still tipped her. However, being busy is not an excuse to be rude to customers. We suggest she reevaluate her customer service skills. Food, drinks, and atmosphere was great, however it is unfortunate that our interaction with this worker ruined our experience.
