The male staff is rude. Drinks are overpriced and a lot of shady stuff goes on around this bar. If you’re looking for a good, safe place to hang out in the Charleston area, there are much better places to go (every other bar in the town is better is better than Penalty Box (Ike’s, Marty’s, Stu’s))

Definitely more of a college bar scene especially after 11, but the food is good and the staff is friendly!
MAKE SURE TO COUNT YOUR MONEY! The bartenders don’t give you the right amount of change back. And they still expect a tip! My friend goes to EIU and I visited her. Another person I talked to said the same thing happened to them a lot of others. So make sure to count. But overall pretty fun bar.
