Enjoyed dinner outside, no indoor seating due to Covid-19. The Pappardelle Gamberi & Spinach pasta was delicious! My husband said his special of the day, Pork Loin sandwich was very good! Great service, appreciated being served even though the kitchen had just closed! Highly recommend!
If you are wanting a quality dining experience without Chicago prices, consider Uptown Grille. The small, quaint space and well-trained and friendly staff make this a one-of-a-kind experience just south of Kankakee. The executive chef, Alessandro, is a northern Italian trained chef that has an incredible eye for detail that pairs well with his exploratory sense of flavor combinations. I used Yelp to help find a place to eat and I thought this place sound like a good place with all the reviews. When we walked in she asked if we had reservations and I looked around and thought this doesn't look like a pizza place or a casual grille atmosphere. But we was asked to wait in the lounge and they would get a table first us. We ordered the garlic breadsticks they was delicious with the parmesan cheese sauce. We got a pizza and it was very good.
